We stayed here for night in October. We were originally going to leave Anaheim on a Saturday and head home, but plans changed and we found ourselves looking for a room on a Saturday night. After calling all of our regular places we were left with the Castle Inn and Suites. They had a room! We were hesitant (why do they have a room left when everyone else is sold out??) but tired, so we booked it.
I will admit- as many trips as we have taken to Anaheim the Castle Inn was never on my list of places to try. I walked by a million times. It looked kind of cheesy and I never heard much about it. As we pulled up I kept saying "Just for the night. We will be gone in 12 hours". We chuckled at the fake castle exterior.
The parking lot was huge by Anaheim standards. No double parking required-score! The front desk was friendly. The lobby was cheesy but cute and the kids loved it. We stayed in a family suite on the fourth floor. It was far from the elevator so we just took the stairs. The stairwell was clean and well lit. We opened the door to the room and were so surprised. It was lovely! It was recently renovated and immaculate. We had tons of space. The beds were super comfy and even the duvets looked clean. The room was very quiet. We got a decent price for last minute on a busy Saturday night. The pool was tiny and did not look very inviting, but it was clean.
The only thing that we did not like was the fact that there is no complimentary breakfast. As a family of 5 eating breakfast out every day would be too expensive. Free breakfast is important, even it is just something small. If the Castle Inn offered even a small breakfast we would probably stay here every time we come to Disney! We will definitely stay here again when we take an overnight trip to Disney but probably not for our extended visits. I highly recommend this place!
