“Keep track of your valuables!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2007

My family stayed four nights at the Carousel Inn. I will start with the good. Check in was easy and the front desk very nice and cheerfull. The location to Disney was great, but there are many other hotels with a great locations. The best part of the room was the bed. It is extremely comfortable, that is if you can get past the smell of the room to get a good night sleep.

The worst part of our stay here was partly our fault. We left a portable DVD player and our camera charger in the room. I called about 30 min after check out to tell them we had left this behind. I informed the front desk that we were almost to San Diego and if they could just get this from our room and hold it for us we could come back that night to get it. He said that would not be a problem and someone would call us. We went ahead to San Diego and figured maybe they could not get through to us due to our roming cell phone. As soon as we got back to our Hotel in San Diego we called them again. The front desk said they knew nothing about it and housekeeping was gone. Told us to call back in the morning. We called back and they said they would have someone call us right back. We waited for another hour and then called them again. They seemed to pass the buck . By the time we finaly got a hold of a manager she accused us of leaving the door open. They said they did not find anything ( I worked in a hotel for a while and I know to always such the door.)

To top that off when we spoke with the General Manager she in a round about way accused us of lying.

None of the employees stories matched. First we left the door open and it was no longer there. Then it was it took a day to even look for it.

I am not sure if an employee took it, or if they chose not to look for it so the next guest recieved it. Or if a ghost took it. But I do know we had it when we checked in. And I called and asked them to look for it 30 min. after I checked out. I feel this was delt with very poorly, I would not recomend any one to stay here.

I will state again that the front desk was very friendly. We did try to get past the filth in the room and enjoyed our stay, till the very end. So if you decide to stay here, double check your room before you leave. Chances are if you leave something behind you will not get it back.

I was a bit nervous staying at Carousel Inn based on some of the reviews on this website but I was VERY pleased with this hotel. The staff was so nice. The room was extremely clean and very cozy. I honestly think that was the first time I have ever woken up without a backache. The beds are so comfortable. The location was awesome and made traveling between the hotel and disneyland very convenient. I really don't have a negative thing to say about this hotel. I will definitely be staying again and again.

This was a great family hotel! The check-in was quick and easy (we reserved through the hotel website). The rooms were spacious, and exceptionally clean, with nice amenties. There is covered parking, which is also nice. Because of the way the hotel is situated on the property, it is very quiet, and we did not even have noise from the walkway. The continental breakfast is good, but milk and dry cereal would be a great addition. It is very close to the main Disneyland entrance, and there are several restaurants within walking distance also. The value was great for the price. I will stay here again.

We truly appreciate the wonderful feedback. Our Guest’s overall experience is our main focus here at the Carousel Inn and Suites and to hear that we exceeded your expectations in every aspect throughout your stay is extremely rewarding. Our property is only 100 yards from the park entrance, which makes our hotel ideal for families seeking a hassle free stay. Our hotel also offers extremely unique amenities for the Anaheim Resort such as a Rooftop Pool, Parkview lounge to watch the fireworks show, and an onsite Quiznos restaurant. We hope to have you return so that we may continue to impress your family.

Stayed 4 nights mid April with my 2 adult daughters.
Had some concerns as i had been unable to confirm my reservation online and finally called the hotel direct (from New Zealand) to confirm. Found the staff on the phone extremely unhelpful and disinterested so was still unable to confirm very frustrating !!
However on arrival all was good easy checkin, room was much nicer than expected and the free breakfast was a good start to the day. Being so close to Disneyland made it easy to come and go from the parks. Desk staff were very helpful when needed and maid service excellent.
Will be returning late next year and will stay here again.
Happy to recommend this hotel.

I stayed for 4 nights the first week in April and was very happy with our room. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great!! I can't think of one negative comment to say about our stay. The staff was very helpful when I needed transportation to other attractions. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

We have just stayed for 9 days at Carousel Inn and Suites and after reading a few negative reviews were pleasantly surprised. We arrived after a long flight early in the morning very jet lagged and tired. The staff were exceptionally nice to us recommending somewhere to get breakfast. They then arranged for us to have early check in which we very much appreciated.

Any time we had queries the staff could not have been more helpful to us. The position of the hotel is wonderful being just across the road from Disneyland. The room was clean as was the linen and the beds the most comfortable we have ever slept in.

We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel for a family holiday in Anaheim.

This is a great place to stay. For ease of access to Disneyland (just 50 metres) to the traffic crossing and entrance another 70 metres. The best view for the fireworks especially if you have kids and want to stay warm is the breakfast room. Just tip the cleaner a couple of bucks a day and she leaves your room in great condition with mints to boot. Day staff are excellent but night staff weren't as good. Rooms are comfortable and so are the beds. If you aren't used to noise (traffic and air con) you should reconsider LA but the hotel is great. I am in a wheelchair and I got around without a hassle as they have lifts and now they know where the accessible taxis hang out. Walk just down the road and you find lots of restaurants, 7 eleven (for things like water). They charge like wounded bulls for water and food in Disneyland. Consider walking to a supermarket and getting a taxi back. Water is $4.99 for 24 bottles at Target about a mile down the road and in Disneyland is $2.75 per bottle. Great central spot and very close to bus stop to go to Universal Studios, Seaworld etc. We loved it.

We thank you greatly for your positive feedback. Our Parkview Room is one of the hidden gems in the Anaheim Resort. All of our Guests have access to our lounge, which offers panoramic views of the Disneyland Resort and is an ideal location to view Disney’s firework show.
