“Great Location shame about the Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We stayed her in September, there were 6 in our party 5 adults and a child of 5 years. I have to say that it was a great location. Right opposite the gates to Disneyland. We hired a Suite and the rooms were clean and all but the pull out bed comfortable. Now for the breakfast. It was offered in the Pizza place on the premises and was pretty poor. The bacon, when we got it, were leftover bits on the plate with reconstituted egg mix to look like scrambled eggs. We gave up after the first day and went to I-Hop instead.

Room Tip: If you get the suite on the top level you get a great view of the fireworks at Disneyland.

So close to the Disneyland, such a clean and comfort hotel! It's near the street but the room is so quiet. After we spend all day in the Disneyland, the only thing we wanna do is go back to the hotel and lay on our comfort bed! I couldn't find any place better than this I think. The front desk is very nice, and a lot of good restaurants near by!

The reviews for this hotel seem to be all over the place and I was hesitant about it when we booked our Disney vacation. In the end, I couldn't have picked a better place. We arrived around 5 in the afternoon after a long day of travel and we just wanted to get to our rooms. The ladies at the front desk had us checked into our 2 rooms within 10 minutes. They had great smiles on their faces and made us feel welcome. We had two adjoining rooms on the fourth floor and both were clean and very comfortable. When you are at Disney, you don't spend a lot of time in a hotel room, but it was always nice to return from a long day in the park to a clean and comfortable hotel room. Of course, the location is excellent. Not only are you a short walk from the Main-gate, but there are also some convenience stores and other restaurants close by.

Now, the included breakfast gets a bad rap. It's not some amazing chef inspired menu. It's waffles, bacon, sausages, and eggs along with some cereal, and fruit options. It's basic and it's included in the price. Breakfast is served in the onsite Pizza Press restaurant. They serve up the plate for you, so be nice, give them a tip and you'll get more food than you need. If you need something more, there is a McDonalds about 1 minute away.

I would not hesitate to stay here again. We had an amazing vacation and part of that was due to this hotel. Thanks to the management and staff for making us feel welcome.

Room Tip: Ask for something on the 4th or 5th floor. That way you have no one above you

I'm not a complainer, this is actually the first time I have ever posted a negative review but this hotel really ruined our family trip. First of all they are NOT handicap friendly. We reserved three rooms one of which was handicap for a semi wheelchair dependent person (they could walk but could not walk any distance and could not do stairs). We were put on an upper floor and the room was far from wheelchair accessible. If she was not mobile at all we would have had big problems because you had to move furniture to get the wheelchair around in the room, it would not fit between the bed and tv stand to get to the bathroom. The bathroom was good sized but the toilet was even lower to the ground than the ones in our non-handicap room. The most alarming part of this is that the only way out if they had a fire was down the elevator..aren't we all taught not to use the elevator in a fire?? The front desk did not seem to be bothered by this because they have sprinklers!
I had done a lot of footwork and price comparing before I booked this hotel and had checked and double checked with reservations to make sure we knew exactly what was owed. When we checked out two of the rooms were charged almost $50 more than we were quoted. They offer discount rates but do not follow through with them. One room was booked under the Halloween special yet the kids never received the items we paid for..and when that was brought to the front desks attention they did nothing about it. This hotel was clean and in far better repair than the last time we stayed there, but the administration needs to get on the same page. Everyone you talk to will have a different "policy" and ultimately the lack of communication between management, reservations and the front desk will end up costing you extra money! As it is for the amenities they are way over priced compared to other hotels in that area (we visit often and have stayed at several other places and paid far less for much better). We will not be back.

Room Tip: It's a very noisy hotel ask to be on the upper floors it helps a little. Easy walk to Disneylan...

This is a great hotel to stay in. 2 minute walk to Disneyland!! Everyone friendly and helpful. Valet, front desk and maids all very nice. Room was clean and the coffee was good. There is a little Pizza Hut in the parking lot, that has a nice breakfast for $5. And great pizza for the evening after a LONG day at Disneyland for $10. We had a standard room and a 3 bedroom suite. Only thing I would have a request for is a dining type table in suite room for eating/game space. Otherwise great stay!!!!

I read a lot of bad reviews on this hotel and was a little worried, but overall it was a nice stay. The walk to Disney was great and the room was clean and decent. The only problem I had was there was a blood stain on one of the bed sheets. Because the bed has several sheets on it, I just took that sheet off and used the other ones. Other than that, it was ok.

Checked in here for 5 nights while visiting Disneyland Parks. We had a one bedroom suite, 3 adults and one child. The room Iitself was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The fridge and microwave were in tne main bedroom, which I thought was a bit odd. There definately was not enough storage and as a result we felt a little cramped with all our luggage.

So, if I was just judging this hotel on room alone, the yeah, I'd stay there again, especially as you can barely beat the proximity to Disneyland Parks. However, when we checked in we were advised that the pool was closed. This was a major disappointment for us as it was one of the main reasons we booked here. They did offer a ride to a neighbouring hotel to use their pool, which we did one day. We waited overan hour to get back to the hotel after our swim which seriously ate into our evening Disneyland plans. The concierge at the other hotel was very pologetic, but Carousel staff didnt seem too care. They told us that all travel agents had been advised of the pool closure, but our agent knew nothing of it and was seriously annoyed as she knew a pool was one of the major things we wanted in our accommodation.

Also, they no longer offer breakfast. However, as we had booked before they removed this feature, we were given vouchers for breakfast at the Pizza Inn next door. Only, we only were given 2vouchers per day and had to go to reception every morning to get the other two. So painful. And the breakfast wasnt even worth having as it was always cold and they even ran out of juice and coffee! I mean how do you run out of coffee?

Wifi is not included, you have to pay extra, but despite asking a couple of times how to do this, we never found out, so had too resort to sitting outside the nearby ihop.

I know, all first world problems, and we really didnt let this things dampen the magic of Disneyland. As I said, the room was clean and comfortable. But I was just left slightly disapponted, so just cant actually recommend it.
