“Was expecting a bit more...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

I recall staying here as a kid and loving it. However when we stayed this time it was a bit grungy. Carpets were filthy. Couldn't even take my socks off. Booked a king bed for honeymoon and received two queens. Also was really mad that the laundry room wasn't in operation. Booked a minimal amount of clothes in hopes of being able to wash them. The front desk offered to drive us to their sister hotel to do our laundry but we couldn't be bothered. The pizza press made this worth the stay. Also the proximity to the park. Would probably not stay again.

We stay here approximately twice a month! The location to Disneyland is perfect. The staff is warm, kind and wonderful! They make us feel like family! The rooms are really nice. We love the comfort of the beds and the cleanliness! The linens are crispy white with feather comforters and pillows. Very nice! Very pretty inside the rooms with nice granite and tile and upgrades. The exterior has a New Orleans flare with wrought iron and flower pots lining the corridors. Very cool roof top pool! View suites are super cool and everyone can go for the 9:30 fireworks display in the top view suite where they serve a nice continental breakfast in the AM as well. Kids love the bunkbed suites! Thanks to Adrian and Abram and all the staff. We enjoy knowing you like we do now and feel so welcome every time we come!

Room Tip: Kids beds are more comfortable that queens in our experience.

I stayed here with my husband and 6 yr old daughter for a Disneyland trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was clean and a perfect walking distance to Disneyland Great price and clean. They have a Pizza Plus attached to hotel, great food and service as well, perfect for a late night snack after a day at the park. i would definatley recommend and stay here again.

I really love how close this location was to the park. After our first night we left to go to the park and came back to find our room was half cleaned, we had no towels, no clean coffee cups, there was still garbage on the ground. I called to tell them they half cleaned our room, she said oh sorry I will send someone up, well he was nice but he was maintenance with a stack of clean towels. The next day we left early for the park and came back around 4ish to find our room had not been cleaned yet, I called to see if they were going to clean it, I spoke to a nice gentleman on the phone and he explained they did house cleaning until 5:30. I voiced my concern about yesterday and he said he would make sure my room was fully serviced this time. We came back late that night but it still was half done, we didn’t have a enough towels I would think two large towels wouldn’t be that much to ask for.... and the coffee mugs were still dirty. it seemed like if we sued something they just took it and never replaced it. For the location to Disneyland this place is great, but not sure if it was worth it.

We stayed here with our two young kids. Perfectly good hotel and can't beat the location unless you are inside the park. Price is right here. I really appreciated the clean wood floors in our room and the nice bedding with washable duvet cover. Plenty to eat at breakfast. Nice, helpful staff.

We stayed at the Carousel for a week during our trip to Disneyland. The room was clean and spacious for two people. The in-room safe was very useful and you can program your own combination. I appreciate the Carousel's efforts to go green - requesting only washing the linens every two or three days; of course, they are more than happy to accommodate daily washing, if requested. The distance from the Disneyland entrance was super close (across the street) and there are plenty of reasonably-priced restaurants within walking distance, too. The only downfalls we experienced were the shower curtains were cloth instead of plastic which meant they soaked up water from the shower and spilled it onto the floor. We were constantly using our towels to soak up the water. The other thing wasn't necessarily a downfall, just not expected - you cannot bring the continental breakfast back to the room. I really enjoy drinking my morning coffee while getting ready, but instead we had to use time to eat/drink breakfast in the common eating area. Next time I stay at the Carousel I'll just remember to bring my travel coffee mug! Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you're going to Disneyland.

Stayed here with family in a 2 bedroom suite. It had everything we needed and was a short walk to Disneyland. It was great as I have a toddler who needed to go back to the hotel for a nap each day. Price was reasonable, but I was a bit disappointed that we had to pay for parking. Breakfast was included, but was a little less than appetizing. Hard boiled eggs, oatmeal and pastries were all they so we ate elsewhere. All in all it was a nice place to stay and I would definitely stay again.
