We stayed in a King room with pull out bed for one night for our trip to Disneyland. I researched all these hotels/motels on Harbor for endless hours--in hopes to save some money. In the end, I found a sweet deal at the Disneyland Hotel from expedia for 3 nights, but we needed to spend one night somewhere else. We picked this hotel for it's proximity to the park. It is about as close as you can get to the entrance of Disneyland, so it has that going for it.
The problem is that this is sort of a run down motel. The rooms have their own air conditioning unit, but the units are very small (like a window unit) and very noisy when they are run. They also don't cool the room evenly. Our A/C was right next to the pull out sofa that my daughter slept on, and it blew on her all night, making her uncomfortable. And speaking of uncomfortable, the pull out bed in the sofa was hideously uncomfortable! I felt really sorry for my daughter having to sleep on it. You could feel each spring poking you all night, and it squeaked and creaked at every move.
The walls are paper thin, so the sounds are not muffled at all. There was a baby crying all night in the room next door, and a drunk couple arguing in the parking lot near our room. When someone would turn on their shower in the other rooms, the noise was very loud!
The room seemed a little unsanitary as well. There was hair in the shower (not ours) and the carpet looked really dirty. My girls were afraid to walk around and touch things in the room.
For those who have never been to Disneyland, the walk down Harbor Blvd isn't a nice one. It is a street loaded with motels, cheap fast food, bus exhaust and people who are trying to sell you time shares. It isn't like the walk towards the Disneyland Hotel or the Grand California, where you walk through Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney is a car-less walkway with lots of quaint shops, trees, lights, muscians and nice scents and sights. So if your atmosphere surrounding your hotel is important to you, you don't want to stay on Harbor Blvd.
We have also stayed at Howard Johnsons, which is a much nicer hotel option on Harbor, but again you have to walk down Harbor Blvd to get there.
