“Unbeatable location perfect for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Incredible location as you can see Disney gates from front of the hotel. A quick walk across the traffic lights and your there! We had a two room suite and were really impressed. Lots of space, very clean delightful!! Only issue was breakfast was poor and restaurants nearby disappointing. Best place to eat was Downtown Disney

This hotel is half block away from the crosswalk into the main Disneyland entrances. It's like a 3 minute walk to the crosswalk light and maybe another 5 minutes into the park.

The room had been updated with dark wood furniture. We had 1 king bed & 1 sleeper sofa. The vanity was outside the bathroom. The bathroom was done in boring beige. The rooms are of average quality but very clean (unlike some other hotels facing Disneyland). There's a fridge but no safe in the room. The bed was comfortable while we didn't hear much from the neighbors - only people walking by the room on the outside hallway.

The fourth floor pool area is a good area to view the nightly fireworks. In the lobby are a couple of computers for guest use. Across the parking is a small convenience/souvenir store. The hotel charges $10/day for parking. The hotel is right next to the McDonalds.

Quality-wise there's not much difference between this hotel and the 15 others along Harbor Blvd fronting Disneyland. The main differentiators are location and cleanliness - on both counts this hotel has the goods.

We have just stayed here for one night - we are a family of five from sydney, mum, dad and three teenagers. I have to say the deluxe two room suite was great - it not only had three queens but a really comfortable sofa bed also so everyone had their own space and was very happy. The room was clean and roomy and so so convenient for Disney - literally a 5 minute walk to the gates. Parking free and they also sell discounted tickets for the parks which were as cheap as i saw them anywhere.

It's all about location when visiting Disneyland and this hotel fits the bill. Downtown Disney is only 10 minutes comfortable walk and the Disneyland Resort is about 8 minutes away.

Check-in was an interesting experience with staff that were not really interested in us being there, they were more pre-occupied with setting up the Christmas tree in the foyer. Once we finally did check in everything was fine until the next day when we noted our credit card had been charged 3 times for the same stay...all up they had authorised $2100 instead of the $700 for our stay...not happy about this as it ties up the money for several day until it is released by the bank. When we bought this to the front desk clerks notice the problem was fixed quickly...but it shouldn't have happened.

The room was a good size and clean & tidy. Servicing was done daily and for the short time we spent there it was comfortable...we were at Disneyland from 8am to 12am each day so most of our room time was spent asleep or in the shower.

We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that, but we were disappointed about having to pay for parking...especially as we had booked before this was hotel policy...but that's life when you're on holidays.

Room Tip: Request at least the 3rd floor and away from the elevators.

Would highly recommend this hotel! We stayed in a family suite and it was great. Furnishings were updated and the room was well taken care, very clean, and soundproof. Pictures of the room really did not do it justice - it looked even better in person. Millie's resturaunt was GREAT and provides room service! McDonald's was right next door - an added convenience. We never had anything stale from the hotel's provided breakfast and actually thought the boxed doughnuts were better than some offerings at other places (our kids loved the hot chocolate!). We have previously stayed at the Paradise Pier and other Disney hotels, and other than lacking theming, this hotel was just as good in quality and you cannot beat the space and proximity to everything! Will definitely be returning!

Just came back from a trip to Disneyland. Make reservations at Camelot and then we were going to use military vouchers so we talked to the IT office and they said that we should be able to use the military vouchers with no problem even though we had booked the room. Well that wasn't the case, it wasn't Camelots policy and there were not able to take our vouchers and would not budge. So we were out over 200.00 in non refundable vouchers. Seemed like they would have taken the vouchers since either way they would get paid it would be no money out from them but it sure was for us. Talked with General Manager they finally gave us one night to use the voucher. The manager of the hotel named Pauline (she was very rude and interruptive) and would not help at all.

Other than that the room was fine, breakfast was not that good (unless you like stale rolls and cereal) bed were hard. The hotel is close to Disney but just weren't happy with the financial part of our trip especially considering we were military family and would be nice for them to make arrangments to be able to accomodate our needs.

We stayed at the Camelot Inn in September 2010 and loved it. We had the family room which was great as the kids had their own room with 2 queen beds and we had a king bed in the main area. There was lots of room for all of us including our luggage. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool was great also and we were lucky to be right near it. The hotel is also very close to Disneyland and you only need to walk across the road. The only thing we didn't really like was the breakfast. There were only sweet cakes and sugary cereals. Also the location of the breakfast room is not that nice.
