“Fantastic Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

First time not staying within walking distance of Disney. Beyond worth it. This place is a hidden gem. We drove to Cali so we had a car to park at Disney. $16 for the day was cheaper than ART for 3 adults and 2 kids. Very comfortable beds. High floor, firm pillows, and crib requests I did online were all waiting when we arrived late at night. Breakfast was great and cooked fresh in front of you. Will be our new Disney spot for sure.

Fantastic family hotel! Rooms are large, the breakfast was delicious and the location is perfect!
The beds are very comfortable, friendly staff and very helpful. The ART bus stops right out front to take you away to Disneyland. I would stay here or at any of their other properties again.

To accommodate our 3-day visit to the Disneyland Parks, we stayed at this small, lovely European-style boutique hotel, which we learned is referred to as "The Ayres Honda" b/c of it's proximity to to the Honda Center ( where hockey games, entertainment extravaganzas, etc. are booked). As things turned out, it was a great choice because it allowed us to relax and refresh ourselves for our daily visits to the Parks. The rooms were clean, really quiet, comfortable and furnished in the manner of a small European hotel. The Front Desk staff were the type of people you hope would be available to assist at every hotel you've ever stayed at, but rarely find. ( The result of good hotel management and an emphasis on courteous service to patrons.) Daily warm plate complimentary breakfasts were a plus! The hotel is a member of the Anaheim Resort Transport Service aka ART ( a collection of small, clean shuttle buses which service several of the hotels within a 5 mile radius of the Disneyland Hotels). The shuttle ride to/from the Parks was 10-15 minutes. Without it, we would've had to deal with traffic congestion and inflated parking fees during our visits to the Parks. THIS ART Service made our stay at the Ayres Honda Hotel a breeze. Whether your visiting the Disneyland Parks or the Honda Center, this is a great hotel choice. The Ayres Family owns/operates 19 other hotels within So.Calif. We haven't stayed at any of the others yet, but if they reflect the pride and attention to the patrons of the Ayres Honda Hotel, you can't go wrong.

Our friends and us have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel as part of our Disneyland vacation. None of us felt happy with the rooms or the hotel. The check in lady was barely nice or helpful, she didn't seem to care much. Then our friends' room had the wires sticking out of the ceiling fan and the ac in their room didn't work. Since there was no maintenance person available (!!) they moved to a different room. In ours the drains were slow, hot water took forever to come on, and worst of all the pillows are so bulky and uncomfortable that all of us had back and neck pain every day. There was no other choice for pillows. For the price, I also expected to get separate shampoo and conditioner bottles, shower cap etc. There was only the bare minimum of toiletries and of the lowest possible quality. The breakfast that everyone raved about and seemed like a great selling point was barely edible, and when we came in at 6am, when it's supposed to start being served, they took almost an hour to finish setting up and make everything. The only thing I found was truly good about this hotel was the shuttle service that stops right at the front, but that could be said for a good number of other, better hotels. We will not stay there again, it was definitely not worth the price.

Dear Lirrit166,

I was disappointed to hear that your stay was unsatisfactory. I have addressed the guest service staff that did not appear to care, spoken with the breakfast staff regarding the timing of the start, and passed on your feedback to maintenance. I am sorry that we were not aware of the degree of your dissatisfaction while you were with us as we would have welcomed the opportunity to do more to address the situation. While we do have a choice of feather or foam pillows, I am sorry that we did not make more of an effort to address that concern better. Newer pillows are more robust and it would appear that you may have had newer pillows. We certainly could have made more of an effort to provide you with a more comfortable option.

Please accept my unreserved apologies for your disappointing stay.

Best regards,

Marcus Collins

Honestly this is the 1st time a hotel was nicer on the inside than their website pictures. It is small but the decor is very nice lots of beautiful paintings and incredibly clean. The front desk was friendly too. We had their complimentary breakfast and it was good and much more food items then we expected. We took our kids to Disney and a shuttle picked us up from the hotel and we were at Disney in 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: one side is mountain view (they say) and the other is just the city which isn't so great but if...

We picked this hotel due to its reviews, we arrived to a very welcoming place, the staff always happy to help and seemed very happy in their work. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable . The complimentary breakfast was fantastic , the warm cookies and free drinks in the lobby at happy hour were also a very nice touch. We really liked the art bus system $20 for a five day pass which picks you up at the door, cheaper than parking at the parks and very easy and convienient.
We felt the only thing letting this place down was the fact of no option for evening meals, we did however find out later in the week that the restaurant next door will deliver to your room.
We have just returned from this hotel following a very enjoyable 7 night stay.......and if we went back to anaheim then it would be my first choice. Definitely 10/10 in my opinion.

Hotel is located across the street from Honda Center, making it a perfect option for an overnight following the Buble concert. Room was spacious and well-appointed. Delicious cookie upon check-in. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Overall experience far exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend to others.
