“Wonderful hotel for wedding block reservation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

My new husband and I recently booked the Ayres hotel for our wedding weekend. We were able to quickly and efficiently set up a room block at a discounted rate for our wedding guests about 3 months before our wedding. Marie was extremely helpful in helping make all the arrangement. Our guests said many great things about their hotel stay. The staff was very friendly and they even surprised us with champagne and chocolates on our wedding night. The full hot breakfast every morning was wonderful, and It allowed us to spend additional time the morning after our wedding with our guests. I highly recommend Ayres Hotel Anaheim if you are getting married in OC and are looking to reserve a block of rooms for your guests!!

We have stayed at this hotel before (for one night only) and this time we stayed for two nights and we were so happy with the acommodations; first those beds are just a dream and the hotel is small enought that it's not noisy even with families with young children staying there as well; the only time that you see the kids it's at breakfast time which it's a hot and cold mixture along with great coffee; hot cocoa and an assortment of juices. The restaurant across the street was great and we had two nice meals there along with the beer tasting; we were in Anaheim for a concert at the Grove of Anaheim and it's just about a mile from the hotel and we also went to Disney California Adventure and used the convenience of the pass to be pick up by the bus at
the front entrance of the hotel and brought back safe and without the stress of the parking issue on a Saturday morning at Disneyland; I'm planning to return for a concert during the month of October since this time the concert will be at the Honda Center right across the hotel. Location excellent, value excellent and amazing customer service. We love the spa and the pool area which it's so clean and relaxing and by the way the tub in the bathroom is a nice soaking one that will relax you before bed. Can't wait to return!

Room Tip: We requested a room with two beds and we were so confortable; it's also good for couples with a...

I stayed here for a night in order to watch an Angels baseball game in Anaheim (I was staying in San Diego at the time). Angel Stadium is conveniently located about 8 mins walk from the hotel which made the decision to stay here an easy one. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the hotel was. The room was nice and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was in top condition. The staff were hugely helpful and friendly, especially giving me the best directions to get to the stadium. There was a good cooked complimentary breakfast with eggs, hash browns, sausages and pancakes. Continental options were also available. Make sure you wait for the fresh cookies baked every day. They are usually available around 4-5pm at the front desk, nice touch! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the Anaheim area to see a ball game, attending a concert at the Honda Centre or are heading off to Disneyland. Very enjoyable stay, and the Angels won 3-2 with a walk off in the 11th inning so all in all a great night!

Great and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. Fantastic all round service from day one. We stayed for 10 days. And were glad we decided to stay here. Meaghan & Andrew at the front desk as with all staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and had some great local tips. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean & serviced daily by the wonderful cleaning team before we returned from our daily excursions.
If your coming to Anaheim and you don't need to be next door to disneyland this is the place to be. Here's your need to know's from our experience.
* Great & affordable
* Straight off the highway - You might think noisey. Not at all
* Large, clean, tidy rooms, very comfortable bed
* Free wifi - computer desk downstairs if you need it
* Walk over the road to the Honda Convention centre for concerts or ice hokey game - home of the Anaheim ducks
* Walk 5 - 10 minutes around the corner to the Angels baseball stadium. We were able to buy great tickets at the gate on the night.
* Guest laundry - coin operated $2 a wash / $2 drier Also drycleaning services but we just used the laundry. Great since we did alot of travelling
* Awesome daily complimentary breakfast. Jose and the team always put on a great service and cook the pancakes and french toast as required meaning freshly made.
* Evening complimentary beer & wine evenings Mon - Thurs 530pm in the lobby. Great time to mingle and meet new friends. I'm sure if Meaghan & Andrew wrote a book about all the stories they heard they would make a fortune
* The ART bus route 15 comes direct through the hotel and takes you to disneyland etc. We had a rental car but still used the ART to go to Disneyland because of expensive parking costs at the parks.
* Nice pool and spa. Also a tidy gymn if your that way inclined.
* Go to nearby Chillis for tea. Great atmosphere
* We met families with younger and older kids. Businessmen and other couples. We certainly got the impression this hotel accommodated all travellers very well
Overall great experience and cannot say enough kind words about our stay. Definately recommend it to all. Already looking forward to our return. Thanks guys from Brian & Tarn NZ

Room Tip: We were upstairs. Can't confirm but might be quieter. Great view of the nearby Angels stadium fi...

Stayed here for my niece's wedding. It was a great location to get to all the wedding venues. The morning breakfast was a great place to meet up with family to catch on the night festiities. At least 10 family members stayed at The Ayres and we were all impressed

We stayed here for 3 nights in Anaheim, and overall it was a wonderful experience! We had a room with a very comfortable king-size bed on the 3rd floor. The room was large, with nice finishes and was clean and well-kept. The staff was friendly and helpful, and check in and check out was a breeze. There is a shuttle that stops by the hotel every 30 mins. to bring guests to the Disney resort area, as well as other locations. We used the shuttle system (called ART), and found it easy to navigate and use. It cost $5 per person for an all-day ticket to ride. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk.

Breakfast was delicious, and had a large variety of choices from made-to-order pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, bagels, yogurt, cereals, muffins, donuts, etc.

The free wifi was a very pleasant surprise, as I had expected to pay extra for that. Other notable amenities were a hairdryer in the room, a full-size iron & ironing board, and a mini-refrigerator with a small sink area in the room!

The one and only tiny downside is that the hotel is located very close the highway, and some road noise could be heard at times. However, this is not enough to deter me from staying again should we find ourselves in the area.

Ayres hotel, please keep doing what you're doing! You provided everything we needed and then some! Thank you!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that doesn't face the highway

Small hotel with a big hotel atmosphere. Employees kind and uplifting. Deluxe accommodations and across the street from Honda Center. Seminars are perfect here. For only 5 dollars a special tram type personalized bus will take you to special places ie Disneyland and back. Every hour. Quiet with free hot breakfast every morning and a free happy hour most nights. Clean pool and jacuzzi. Love!
Only one wish....... more restaurants within walking distance.
