“Authentic food, beer and wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011

Great orange County location just off the 57 Freeway and Ball Road. Large building with a great beer garden. The Phoenix Club has a main restaurant and a smaller Beer Stube. Try Wiener Schnitzel, Rouladen, or Schweine Braten. Have been there numerous times and even had trout. There are also non German items on the menu such as steak, various chicken dishes and even hamburger. Pleasant and clean and always good food and beer.

“You get your money's worth at brunch!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2011

The Phoenix Club Sunday brunch happens ever Sunday, with the big Sundays of Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, etc. being much busier, of course. We've been here many times over the years and it's actually quite good: the price is good for all you get (no more than an average restaurant), the food is good (German based), champagne and/or juice and/or coffee, etc. is included. On Father's Day they even give the "Father" a beer! It's held in a big ballroom so the tables and chairs are banquet type temporary ones, but they do a good job of transforming this dance ballroom space into a buffet brunch. Lots of meat choices. Salads are good. The only thing that doesn't seem up to snuff is the desserts. But you'll probably be so full after the main dishes that you won't need dessert.
There ARE regular restaurants facilities there too (not in the ballroom) but we haven't tried that part on non-Sundays.
