“Very Good Service make up for location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2011

For our future Disneyland trip we will look elsewhere. While the ART system provides shuttles every 20 min or so, it would be better to be able to easily walk to and from Disneyland. We booked our room through Priceline bidding. Will not do that again as we ended up with a smoking room. While the Manager did let us "smell" multiple smoking rooms to pick the least offensive, we still were not able to get a non-smoking room due to availability and that we booked a "standard room through a third party". The restaurant was an average hotel restaurant. Food was typical, however the service was usually good. Get a room on the back side as rooms facing the freeway are noisy.

Stayed with a friend for six nights. Overall a very nice stay for what one would think of for a Holiday Inn with a few complaints. Very easy check-in and out and friendly, informative desk staff. Basic two-bed room with coffee, fridge, etc... (all the basics) but no microwave. There was one avail 24/7 in the ground floor 'store'. Ice and laundry on our own floor (9th). Large heated pool, hottub, and fitness center. ART (shuttle to Disney and other attractions) was right outside the main door and the ticket kiosk was easy to operate. So my real complaints are here. I had heard a lot of revews praising the on-site restaurant. We had breakfast one day and the food came within two minutes of placing our order. Upon arrival is was only mildly warm, very small portions, and seemed as if they had simply scraped up the remains from their heat tray warmed buffet selections and we ordered off the menu, not the buffet. Very disappointing! About the third day of our stay a strange styrofoam container with what looked like old chocolate cake was in our refirgerator. Not ours. One day housekeeping did not come until late afternoon and next to our final day they did not show up at all! When we first arrived the alarm clock did not work but was quickly exchanged after a long conversation with a non-english speaking worker. Our TV also displayed incorrect channel names and the 'time-stamp' was off by about seven hours making it useless for a TV wake-up call. Never corrected.

It is said, “One should never start a letter with an apology”; however, this is obviously an exception to the rule. I sincerely apologize for the situations you encountered in the restaurant and with the Housekeeping staff. The appropriate Managers will be informed of what took place during your visit. Our entire hotel is very proud of the service that we offer, and anytime we do not meet and exceed the expectations of our guests we too are disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. This will allow all of us to learn from our mistakes and ensure that these situations do not occur again. We look forward to your return to the Anaheim area, and another opportunity to serve your hospitality needs.

Good hotel for families going to Disneyland; not great for a solo business traveler.
Rooms and common areas are excellent. The staff is professional and accommodating. Comfortable beds. The hotel is filled with families and children. Common areas are often noisy and sometimes congested; a little hard to take for this solo business traveler. Restaurant is a little worn, but reasonably priced and decent service. Free internet is OK for email, but slow for browsing, and not for videos. Located very near Disneyland with a low cost shuttle. Not much within walking distance. The hotel fronts the freeway. The windows do a good job of reducing noise, but ask for a room to the rear.

Great hotel in terms of it's location - hardly 2 miles from Disneyland, Anaheim. Great connections / travel arrangements to reach the resort. Good and helpful staff. Great shopping place within the hotel. Good restaurant; but no breakfast buffet :( great ambiance; Spacious rooms, good and free parking. Must, if you wanna visit Disneyland for two days.

This is a great hotel. Near Disneyland and during the summer you can see the fireworks from the west side windows. The personel are very accomodating and helpful in addition to being friendly. Always a smile and a hello.

This hotel has very good service. It is located convenient to multiple areas for business. The restaurant attached to the hotel is great for business travelers. Jennifer, the bartender, was very friendly and the food was very good. The exercise room is also better than average.
