“The greatest place on earth next to Disneyland!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

Actually is it right across the street and walking distance to Disney. This was our second trip here with our grandsons, Rene and Albert. It is a kid/family friendly hotel with happy staff that are ready to please and help!

Our grandsons spent hours in the pool playing with us, other children, and each other. Since our first trip last month, I could see the confidence and expertise they gained in having a pool that goes from 4 feet to 5 feet in the center with plenty of steps to make it easier to get in and out.

They look forward to the Happy Hour food of mini chicken corn dogs and fries while my husband and I have a Tangerita (house specialty) and oriental chicken salad (500 calories total).

We have another weekend trip planned here in August, taking the whole family for fun and good memories. The Concierge room has a king bed and off in an alcove a queen bed as well as a sofa bed and kitchenette space. Oh, the pizza for room service snack is always a big hit for the boys.

If you want to avoid Disney as we did except for a walk to Downtown Disney, ice cream and the fire works, there is many other attractions nearby such as Buena Park, Medieval Times and Pirates Dinner show (highly recommend).

Room Tip: The higher the better

I stayed here last year with group of friends, I must say the hotel itself is very underrated and is very nice. The only problem I had last time was some of the staff treated us very poorly. I can't say it was all because some were very pleasant. But the ones who were rude alone made the stay a bummer. This time I'll be back in anaheim in august and upon looking at rates they are a little higher than usual so I'd like to give the anabella a chance but I'm on a budget with a family now lol. Overall if you can ignore a few bad apples this is a great place to stay. 3rd party sites have the rates lower than the hotel itself so if you are looking for a hidden gem I'd say look no further

We arrived at the Anabella earlier than designated check in time so we expected to wait a while. As we had just gotten off of a flight it was nice to chill in their lobby where they offered free wifi, comfy couches, and a place to put our luggage. When a room came available they were quick to let us know and extended an unnecessary apology for the wait, including a couple discount cards to restaurants near by. The room was large, and the air conditioning was perfect! A couple little things that made the stay so much nicer for me was the couch in the room, the size of the vanity area, the fan above the bed, and how accommodating the staff were. The only issue we had while there was a loud party that was being thrown by Google at the Anabella's pool area. Normally I wouldn't complain but it lasted quite a while and the music literally shook our room. As soon as I called they said they would try and quite them down and proceeded to send someone up to our room to talk to us about it. So polite and helpful! Also really close proximity to the Convention Center(literally right next door!) and a 10 minute walk to Disneyland. Will definitely be staying with them again next year.

My husband and I returned to this hotel with two grandsons for a fun filled two day trip. This hotel is child friendly with endless hours in the pool. Our grandsons did not want to leave the pool and was allowed to use their pool toys including water guns!

We all enjoyed the Happy Hour food and I highly recommend the Tangerita! Disneyland is right across the street.

We all fell into comfy beds exhausted but definitely happy!

PS, the price is right!

After departing UC Santa Barbara for our son's graduation we took my daughter down to Southern California to tour a small college there. I booked the Anabella from an online coupon deal.

Arrived there late and was surprised it was in back of California Adventure in Disneyland. The young woman (Hannah) at the check in was so pleasant and helpful. The room was really a great surprise.

Tastefully decorated, Queen bed with a separate princess bed for our daughter which also had a flat screen TV. Long counters for the bathroom sink area which was greatly appreciated and a nice love seat sofa at the foot of our Queen to view another flat screen TV.

Picked up a local flat bread pizza (they have a pizza place on site but closed by 11pm I think) and ate it on our small private front patio.

Easy to park, more of a villa feel to the place. They also have an adult only swimming pool which we'll try next time. I highly recommend this hotel to visitors going to Disneyland and college tours in the area but the only thing is that it is not pet friendly. We travel with our small dog a lot so we may have to look for a pet friendly hotel next time. Otherwise, don't hesitate and book it. Non-coupon prices seem very reasonable too.

Room Tip: If traveling with three or two small kids then the extra bedroom is great. Has a flat screen in the...

Doug,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us here on Trip Advisor! We are thrilled to hear that you and your family had a great experience at our hotel as we strive every day for just that kind of reaction from our guests. From check-in to check-out, our staff works hard to ensure that your needs are met and I'm sure Hannah will be happy to read your kind review of her service! From the sound of it, you stayed in one of our Deluxe Casita Suites. We agree that these suites are great for families! We hope that you will return in the future so you can check out our awesome adult "Quiet" pool (as we like to call it) and sip on one of our signature Tangerita's all while enjoying that warm Southern California sun.

Thanks again Doug!

My husband and I stayed at The Annabella for the beginning of our honeymoon, the room was not particularly flash but it was comfortable, a good size and only a 10 minute walk to Disneyland. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel complex and a lovely family diner next door. You could see the fireworks at Disneyland from the entrance. Definitely a great place for families. We enjoyed our stay.

Hello Tkhelem!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our hotel. We really love the feedback we receive from our guests as it lets us know what we are doing right and what we could improve upon as well. We couldn't agree with you more-our proximity to Disneyland can't be beat and it's wonderful to catch the firework show right from the front of the hotel. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you and your family again sometime in the future.

Thank you,

I booked the smaller double queen room and found out it wasn't as the advertisement. The manager took care of upgrading us into the 'king' suite. We all were very comfortable. My grandson loved the pool time and the bar is next door, so the staff brought us drinks. So nice! The food was great as well. I can't say enough about this hotel - other than Excellent Choice.

Room Tip: Book the king suite with a sleeper bed.
