“Charming Boutique Hotel ideally located to the Disney Parks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013

The Anabella is a lovely hotel across the street from Disney's California Adventure. The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I recommend the Concierge level rooms for the complimentary breakfast, water, slippers and robe, as well as your own private patio. The rooms are both comfortable and very functional with a separate vanity outside the washroom. Wifi is complimentary throughout the property and there is a business center just off the lobby which is great for checking in for your flight and printing boarding passes. The Disney parks are an easy 10-15 minute walk from the hotel heading north on Disneyland Drive and walking through the lobby of the Grand Californian hotel to either Downtown Disney or California Adventure. (note the direct entrance to California Adventure is only available to the general public after 11am)

Dear Adam D,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about The Anabella Hotel. Our Concierge level rooms do have those amenities, however the private patio is always our biggest request and available upon request. Our new Wi Fi is now complimentary with the option to upgrade for those that need to download and/or stream for a nominal fee.

With a walk way before the entrance of the Grand Californian that takes you into Downtown Disney & the main gates it makes the stroll to Disney quick & convenient from the Anabella. We’re pleased to here that you were able to take advantage of this.

We look forward to your next stay here at the Anabella Hotel.

Best Regards,
Brandon Jemison

The Anabella is my favorite hotel in Southern California. From the amazing staff to the beautiful property no other hotel in Anaheim can compare. Two pools, a restaurant and bar and right across the street from Disneyland, what else could you ask for? I can't wait to go back someday!

Room Tip: Concierge room is my favorite!

This little hotel is a gem! It's small and boutique, just a little charm! It is right across the road for Disneyland, so its a great place to stay if you dont want to spend a fortune on the disney hotels. We were just in the lead in room type, and this was more than big enough for the 2 of us! We had breakfast included in our stay, and this was okay.. It wasnt great, but there arent a whole lot of quality options around anyway. Slightly pricey, but you cant beat the location.
I would for sure recommend this property. Great for families and couples! :)

Season’s Greetings Clare O,

We were very fortunate to have acquired this location for our California Mission Style hotel. It sounds like your booked one of our Concierges rooms which offers breakfast for 2 each monring. The classic breakfast is one of our most popular choices, it comes with two eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast. With a choice of coffee or hot tea.

Clare O, we’re looking for another opportunity to have you back in the future.

Best Wishes,
Brandon Jemison

I love using sites like expedia and so forth but this time it did not work in my favor. I researched for over a week for a great location to stay close to Disneyland and went back and forth between The Anabella and a few others. I went with Anebella because of the great reviews and location..however..

Location: Although it was right next to the park, the entrance was pretty far. We had to cross a major intersection, past hotels and into Downtown Disney to get to the front entrance. Not a big issue if you like walking but sort of a cluster when the kids are exhausted at the end of the day and you have to weave your way through the crowds.

False Advertising: I have to question all these great reviews?? I have stayed in some super sketchy areas but I knew what I was getting into. I am not sure who the photographer is for this place..but he/she is magic. The entrance is really nice however when you set out for your room you clearly realize it is a motel. Our room was about as far as you can get. Behind stairs. The rooms are old but have good "makeup". It looks good but paint is peeling off. I think our beds had the old metal box springs and in the closet the shelf had mud and dirt everywhere. We left and stayed at the Hyatt just down the road.. It was so nice, cheaper, and a shuttle took us right to the entrance.

Dear Sha D,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Trip Advisor even though it comes as a disappointment. We value all of our travel partners such as Expedia very much. Unfortunately, their representatives may not always be able to describe the room that best fits your needs because they represent so many hotels. Our dedicated reservation staff is exceptional at finding the perfect room and entering requests to find the best location to meet your needs.

We take exceptional pride in our room quality and try to provide the best product in a perfect location that our guests find value in. The room you stayed in quite certainly fell short from what we've read. We’re all genuinely concerned with your remarks. I’ve sent you a private message to uncover more about your stay as this is not indicative of our typical standards and your comments about the cleanliness needs an explanation.

I wish we had an opportunity to speak during your stay so I could’ve resolved everything to your satisfaction.

Happy Holidays,
Brandon Jemison

We enjoyed our stay at the Anabella Hotel. Our room was nice and clean - a little outdated but the proximity to Disneyland was great - short walking distance. The landscaping and decor of the restaurant and bar were very lovely. Love all the Palm Trees. After a long day at Disneyland it was nice to come back to the hotel/restaurant and have a lovely dinner. The chef cooked our meal to perfection. We definitely will return the next time we are in Anaheim.
Sincerely, a very satisfied and happy customer.

Dear nacer7780

Thank you for your amazing review on Trip Advisor. We are very lucky to have our location in the heart of the Anaheim Resort Area. Right across the street from California Adventure and adjacent from the Anaheim Convention Center. Our restaurant has won a few awards over the years for the food and service. We will make sure your wonderful review will be passed on to our restaurant staff.

Best Wishes,

I took my mom and dad to Disneyland for their anniversary and we stayed at the Anabella. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was sooooooo good! I'd say the food alone is a good reason to stay at this hotel, plus, the servers are very kind. The rooms were clean but the shower drove me a little nuts since it had a pretty good size leak and dripped all nice. I had to close the door so as not to hear the constant dripping. I was a bit disappointed in the cable since most channels were fuzzy. But overall it was a very nice room, spacious with a couch, desk, and long counter top with a big mirror that's separate from the bathroom so I could still get ready while someone showered. They also have an adults only pool that's completely separate from the kids pool. I wish they had a hot tub in the adults pool section too, but it was still nice to have the adults have their own private area. It is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at near Disneyland and I will definitely go back, especially for the breakfast!

Room Tip: There are several different sections to the hotel, book early in advance to get a room with a view s...

Dear Bekah16,

Thank you for choosing the Anabella Hotel for your parent’s anniversary hotel. We appreciate your review here on Trip Advisor. Our full service Tangerine Restaurant has won a few awards over the years for its service and food. Our breakfast is the busiest time of the day with your choice of a Grab & Go window if you’re on the run or sit donw in on the patio or dining room.

We apologize for the leaky shower. Typically our housekeeping department does a great job in reporting any such issues prior to our guests checking in. If at any time in the future please report the leak and so we can address it at your earliest convenience.

Our adult pool is one of our quietest places on property, which means the most relaxing. The adult pool also has pool side service from the restaurant for that extra touch of relaxation. We were pleased to have the opportunity to serve you and look forward to another in the future.

Best Wishes,

Brandon Jemison

I love the Anabella. The rooms work great for us. I have stayed in both the Jr Suite with a separate room and day bed...and also the Concierge rooms with two double beds. Very comfortable. The bathrooms are showing their age. But they are very clean. Love, love, love the Bell desk. Those guys are great!!! This was my 6th stay through the years. Easy on and off for the shuttle to Disney.

Room Tip: If you have limited mobility, ask for a room closer to the front. The property is large and the bac...
