“Great Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2011

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor I had some concerns. Not one of them came to fruition. It seems they are very responsive to all reviews and concerns. We had such a pleasant stay, the rooms were very clean and the staff very pleasant to deal with. We would definitely stay there again next time.

We had the Casita Suite - a separate room with a day bed - perfect for my tween. The price was so affordable that I was a little worried whether it would live up to the on-line photos. We were not disappointed.

The beds were so comfy and clean w/down pillows & comforters. The bathroom a dream with granite tile... We stayed 3 days and had 3 more in San Diego area... We were so happy to have a washer/dryers available for our convenience. We used the city shuttle to Disney and CA adventure Parks.... Only $4.00 per day - another great deal.

Facilitiy had a pool and jacuzi and restaurant. Room service was convenient, on time and affordable. Also had a "To Go" window for breakfast which we used on our way to Disneyland.

All in all our trip was perfect.

We will be back!

The manager provided a no additional cost upgrade and the late check out. The Anabella is a great place to stay. The staff was extremely cordial and endearing. I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Our family stayed at the Anabella for 3 nights. The first night, our Mission Suite was in the NW corner of the property, near Katella Ave. The noise from the road was terrible all night long. We asked to switch to a quieter room for the next 2 nights, and it was extremely quiet. No road noise, no noise from other guests. (That was room number 1231, another Mission Suite.)

The room was fine. It's a tad run down, but clean, and if you're visiting Disneyland, you'll be there so little and be so tired when you come to the room that you really won't care. Especially when you remember how little you paid for a suite!

My biggest complaint is about the service at the restaurant/bar. Whether we were poolside or sitting down for a meal, the service was incredibly slow in every aspect of the dining experience, things we had ordered weren't brought out without reminders, etc. It was frustrating.

I timed our walk from the hotel. We are in good shape and walk quickly. It's 10 minutes to the Grand Californian lobby, with a nice (protected by landscaping) sidewalk where our 3 and 5 year old kids could safely walk/run most of the way. It's another 5 minutes to walk through downtown Disney to the gates of Disneyland/California Adventure.

Room Tip: stay away from Katella Ave

We stayed in a Casita Suite, and my 5-year old son loved the daybed in the separate little bedroom. We walked to Disneyland and California Adventure (shortcut by walking through the Grand California Hotel lobby). After a long day at one of the parks, it was nice to come back to our hotel and eat dinner at the Tangerine Grill. We enjoyed the atmosphere - sitting on the patio next to palm trees and listening to live jazz music. It was very relaxing after being around all the people at Disneyland! All the staff were very friendly. When the maids cleaned our room, they would arrange my sons stuffed animals and little blanket in a really cute way on the daybed. He loved that! We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor - so it wasn't noisy.

The Annabella Hotel is a must if you are staying in the Anaheim area. We have been so impressed by the cleanliness, great amenities, and excellent service, that we have made this hotel our monthly get-away from Los Angeles. As someone who has worked in the five-star hotel industry of Beverly Hills, I recognize great service and value, and Annabella offers both! Adrian always goes above and beyond to accommodate, even with last minute reservations. This place truly is our home away from home and just minutes in walking distance to the gates of disneyland!

I was nervous about staying here as the reviews were mixed, but chanced it and I was very happy for the most part. We were given a double instead of the queen we had booked, which I didnt realize till my teenage son and I were crawling into bed. Pretty squishy. I talked to the staff the next day and they were of course willing to give us the queen we had booked but we didnt want to repack and move so instead, they reduced the price for the remaining nights by a decent amount, and took care of our parking. I was happy with this. Pools are both great. One quiet - one not. The big drawback was the other guests. We were on the 2nd floor of a 3 story section (some are 2 stories) and the upstairs kids were wild and someone was constantly locking their car (read- beep beep of the horn every 2 minutes for a good half hour.) When I called security, the beeping stopped. Nothing the hotel can do about noisy guests so I would recommend a room on the top floor and somewhere where there are only 2 stories so less units in an area. earplugs might help. Also, the hotel was located on the back side of the disney lot so you have to walk along Disney Way (turn left out of the front entrance of the Anabella))and go up Disney Way then through the Grand Californian Hotel to get to the Disney gates. (there is also an entrance if you head around to Harbour but that would take way to long from the Anabella. The way we took was a nice scenic walk. Parking is $10 per day at the Anabella, as is internet but the wifi worked great. Id stay again but in a quieter part of the hotel- or stay at one of the many hotels virtually across the street from the main entrance on Harbour- check googlemaps. OR at the Grand Californian if it was in the budget - whew! nice joint! Oh- and I remember reading that the restaurant was pricey- it was not at all! But then I just came from Santa Monica! It is certainly less than Disney - food was good. Good variety.

Room Tip: dont stay in the 3 floor part- try floor 2 of 2
