We booked this hotel on the website as we wanted a budget hotel close to Disneyland. This hotel did not disappoint. Rooms were spacious and although dated a bit were comfortable and clean. Obviously they were gradually updating the rooms and all amenities were provided. Iron also provided.

I found the staff to be very helpful and we booked our Disneyland tickets at the front desk. THe shuttle also stops at this hotel. Continental Breakfast was included and coffee available all day.

All in all a great find, however could probably do a little better.

We stayed in this hotel from Oct 22nd - Nov 3rd and quite enjoyed our stay. The hotel is good value - we feel we got our money's worth.

Things we loved about it:

* Microwave and Fridge in the room
* Comfortable King-sized bed
* Good price
* Free wireless Internet
* Since we stayed more than 10 nights we got a coupon for a free night's stay at any Vagabond Inn.

Things we were indifferent to:

* A decent walk to Disneyland (too far for lazy Americans), but you can always drive or catch the Anaheim Resort Transit shuttle
* Breakfast was fairly boring - toast, cereal and pastries - but it was free after all!

Things we didn't like:

* Shower was very low (you have to limbo to get your hair wet) and took a fair amount of skill to coax hot water out of.
* Drink vending machines seemed permanently out of stock of bottled water.

  • Liked — Good value for money (eg Internet, Fridge, Microwave, Breakfast all included)
  • Disliked — Showers were sub-standard
  • Tips/Secrets: — Fridge + Microwave means you can reheat leftovers or keep your own supply of drinks etc

In July I stayed at the Vagabond Inn and it was a mediorce experience. The bathroom gave a creepy vibe. The shower was a little dirty, the shower head was too low, no water pressure, and it was only burning hot water or freezing cold. A cold shower seems like it would be nice after a day at Disneyland but it just makes you cold all night. The towels were stale and a little smelly; like they had been washed and hung up before they dried all the way.
The service was alright. The room service was not always done when we returned or they never came. I got the feeling that most of them did not speak english, so be prepared.
The breakfast was barely anything. Muffins and yucky coffee. Did save you money so you don't have to go to Denny's though.
It was an okay hotel, the beds were comfortable and the doors locked. Other then that it wasn't that great.
The only reason I would come back was if it was cheaper and it had a shuttle.

We stayed here 4 nights in early October room rate was about 60.00 a night. The rooms were very clean we had two rooms and had no issues with housekeeping. In one room beds were very comfortable in the other they were like sleeping on box springs. We did not spend much time in the rooms so it was ok. It was nice to have a micowave and a fridge in the room if we wanted to use them and there was no additional charge. As for parking I have to agree with the other reviews. They do not have enough parking for the number of rooms they have so if you return late you will be told you have to double park. We new this in advance and just allowed extra time in the morning to allow cars to be moved. If you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you walls are very thin.

Aloha everyone…My family of six (2 adults, 3 teens (16, 14, 13), and 1 child (10) stayed in this hotel for 3 night (Oct 1st, 2nd, & 3rd). I’m not saying this hotel is “good” or “bad”, but just want to share my experience and you can take it for what it’s worth.

Value: Paid about $130.00 a night including tax for a two bedroom - adjoining. Four queen beds with two bathrooms.

Staff: Nice and friendly but not much help on two occasions. The 1st was for a hand towel but only had bath towels which we already had and the 2nd they couldn’t provide change for quarters to use their washer & dryer. They told my son he had to go across the street to the gas station for change. Unlike the Carousel Inn & Suites we had no problems getting change from them to use their washer & dryer. (See my review on their hotel)

Rooms: Spacious for three persons per room. Although the rooms were kept clean the floor felt uneven. Parts of the rooms felt like it was sloping towards the parking lot area. The floor between the adjoining doorways had a dip. One of the bathtubs felt like there was water trapped between the floor and under the bathtub. You could hear something squishing underneath it. The showerhead was very low for anyone above 5 feet 7 inches and the water pressure was very weak like they were trying to conserve water or something. The bathrooms were very small but manageable. In one of the rooms you could lightly smell some sort of odor near the A/C but didn’t notice any leaking or wet area and wasn’t bad to get us sick. Overall, the rooms were average and nothing fancy to brag about but do need some renovating.

Location: About 2 blocks away from Disney’s roadside entrance. You pretty much have three options to get to the park. (1) Drive and park at Disney’s parking lot for $11.00, (2) walk give or take about 20 minutes, or catch a shuttle bus that goes around nearby hotels for a cost of $3.00 per person (all day).

Check-In / Check-Out: Went very smooth, fast, and had no problems since I had it prepaid through an internet agency that cost me less then going directly through the hotel which I checked prior to going through the internet agency.

Breakfast: Can’t comment since we slept in but I’m pretty sure it’s the same as any nearby hotels which is the basic stuff. There’s a lot of nearby eating facilities to choose from, walking and driving distances.

Pool: Hadn’t had a chance to try it since they close the gate at 9:00 pm but for what I’ve seen it’s an o.k. size. Not a pool for swimming but a pool for dipping.

Parking: Although parking is limited I had no problem finding one since they were lots of rooms available during the time we stayed.

Overall Stay: O.K. but I for one wouldn’t return. I’d recommend this hotel for anyone that’s looking for a place to sleep, shower and not spend a lot of time in the room.
