“Nice beds”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

My daughter and I were in Anaheim for the North American Irish Dance Championships during the July 4th holiday weekend. The Sheraton was one of the hotels in the block of hotels reserved for this competition. The hotel was quiet, the room a bit tight, but the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was pleasant. We walked to Disneyland because it was easier than waiting for a bus, and paying the fare. Only on the day we left did I see the #6 bus that we could have taken to Disneyland. The hotel is not as current as the Hilton nor Marriott, but the beds made up for it!

Room Tip: we had a room with a balcony that looked out to Disneyland, and could watch the fireworks each night...

If you are considering a hotel near Disneyland, this should be at the top of your list. We stayed at the Grand Californian Disney hotel once, and in retrospect should have stayed at the Sheraton Park. Rooms are nothing special, but the staff is. They are very accommodating, attentive, and super friendly.

There is a great pool area that is pet friendly and does not have an oppressive list of rules like the Disney branded hotels. The price/quality ratio is quite good.

It served our needs. Stayed for 2 nights 7/5-7/7 for family of 4, 5th floor fireworks view was
Good enough. Room did not have a balcony to sit and watch, however. Beds were comfy, sweet sleeper, and 2 QUEEN sized beds, so that was a plus. Small fridge in the room. No microwave. 2 free water bottles per day. $16 per day parking fee. We ate breakfast at Molly's cafe downstairs. Fair prices. There's also an IHOP across the street. For Disneyland travelers. The hotel is a 10 min walk. WALK. It's good for your heart!

Tip for Disneyland: please drink water, not soda. It's sad to see so many obese children holding extra large Soda beverages...

Tip for maintenance: please fix
the room door. It slams hard waking the poor next door neighbors.

Beautiful room on club lounge floor - not huge, but perfect and elegant. Balcony that looked out over Disneyland and CA Adventure park.
Excellent room service and not too expensive. No free continental breakfast, but everything else makes up for it.
Everything spaced out nicely over grounds of hotel- various restaurants, cafe, coffee place, pool with bar at night, laundry facilities. I wish I could have stayed there all week. I could live there while doing meetings in LA and playing at Disneyland on weekends.

Room Tip: Top floor - anything on floor 14 facing the park.

Room and bathrooms were nice and clean - beds/linens offered a very restful sleep after a long day at Disneyland. The desk staff were helpful and friendly answering all of our questions. The servers at the restaurant downstairs were friendly. For the deal we got, we think it was a great value.

We didn't need to, but people can catch the Disneyland parking lot tram just nearby and ride it to the main entrance of Disneyland instead of walking the whole way.

The only downside was that there was an event happening at the hotel and lot of young people were staying on our floor and decided to hang out in the hallway in the evening. At 11pm my husband finally peeked his head out to tell them they needed to move from our side of the hall because our young daughter was having trouble sleeping with their loud conversation right out our door. Luckily they complied and we didn't have any trouble from there on out.

Would definitely stay again.

We just came back from this hotel last week. Received poor service. We traveled from the east coast and had to wait 5 hours before our room was ready. No one at front desk could help. The manager was not so nice but he eventually get us a room a little less that 4 hrs. As far as I'm concern customer service was not priority. Hotel was close to theme park. Beautiful surround area, lots of great places to eat within walking distance. Walking distance to convention center. Rooms are clean but poor ventilation. If you are planning to book a tour with VIP Tour, read the reviews first. The 4 1/2 hour tour is really 2 1/2 hrs. When they pick us from the hotel, they took us to a depot, then we have to stand in line to buy ticket, then placed in a bus, wait for everyone to finish buying their tickets, then they dispatch the buses. It's a long time before we actually left for the tour. The customer service desk just book the reservation and I believe took their commission as a deposit. They never explained to us that we had to go to the depot to join another bus. Very disappointed with the service there, this is California, I've gone to third world countries with better organized tour groups. I will not return to this hotel

Hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the theme park entrances. There is an ihop across the road and a restaurant at the actual hotel if you prefer. The pool bar serves reasonably priced snacks and light meals. I found all staff at this hotel very professional and alert. I would've liked for the rooms to be a little more sound proof but I have since discovered this issue is not just limited to this hotel in north America.
All in all, this was the first stop in our North American journey and looking back it was one of our more pleasant hotel experiences.

Room Tip: If travelling outside of the peak periods, you can request a room facing the theme parks, this way y...
