“Great location and pool area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here around 5 nights with 12 year old son. Great pool area. Rooms were fine. Has a very good restaurant onsite. Walking distance to Disneyland (fabulous for coming back early for a swim on a hot day). Would definitely stay here again

We stayed here May 14-18 and had a great experience. We had a fireworks facing room(which was great but don't pay the $30 up charge if they don't have fireworks every night-you can watch them from the 10th floor hallway windows). The staff was always friendly and helpful. They called us cabs and helped us with the surroundings when we needed it. The pool was nice, clean and bigger than expected but cold since the temps were in the mid 70s. The walls were a little thin. I heard almost every step the people above me made. Luckily I had a sound machine to block them out. We walked to Disney one day(15 min walk with a 4 year old) and took the Toy Story Lot's bus the other days. The lot is maybe 200 feet across the street and took about 8 min to walk to the bus depending on if we got the light or not. Overland Stage restaurant was fine. Nothing too exciting and about $10 for each adult meal, $9 for the kids meal. They had a little snack shop which came in handy. All and all a great choice for a disney trip.

Thank you for spending your time to comment on your recent stay. We are very glad to see that you remark our hotel, the swimming pool and the perfect location around and we were also very pleased to read your comments about the friendliness of the staff, especially in guest services. Certainly we passed this on to our associates. We are also very happy you enjoyed watching the fireworks from your room! It is always fun spending time with your family/friends watching the show. We are looking forward to welcoming you again during your next stay to Anaheim and hope we can prove our high standard of hospitality again.

Since we were there to spend the day at Disneyland our choice was to stay at the Sheraton because of their amenities. There is a shuttle from the hotel to the park for a mimimum fee that's good all day if you don't want to walk to the park. We arrived at 8:00 am and parked our car at the hotel parking and took the shuttle over to Disneyland.

We were on the 9th floor and very happy with our room; it was clean and updated. We watched the fireworks from our balcony.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Disneyland if you want to watch the fireworks from your balcony.

this park is about 20 min walk from the park and there are a lot of hotels closer but the service is excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful, there are many little luxuries in this hotel that you wont get in the cheaper, closer hotels but then again, if you're spending all your time in Disney you wont see your hotel room much anyway.

It also has a pool which looks nice but i never go to try it out.

There is a shuttle(bus) to and from Disney which costs $5 per adult each way and doesn't really run on a schedule from what i could see. but the better option is a taxi, it is only about $7 each way which if there are a few of you works out cheaper and faster.

As for eating in the hotel there is a cafe which isn't up-to much and a restaurant which is fantastic, with great food and friendly staff. Also there is a IHOP opposite the hotel.

If you have children or big kids there is a glass elevator if you can find it, it's hidden away but is fun and if you get a room high up facing the park you can sit on your balcony and watch the fireworks.

Room Tip: If you get a room high up facing the park you can sit on your balcony and watch the fireworks.

Our two night stay was for a Disneyland Grad Night weekend. Although this Sheraton is not a new property, it is very well-maintained and pleasantly appointed. Stayed on the SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) 11th floor in the farthest two rooms at the end of the hall and was treated to a quiet stay with terrific views of the surrounding area.

Although the Sheraton is not as close to the main gate of Disneyland as I had thought, the walk is not bad and the area is well-lit, clean and safe, even when returning from the park late at night. Another alternative is the regional bus: there is a ticket kiosk right outside the front hotel entrance and for $5 per person, you get all day service. It took us only two quick stops to get to the front Disneyland gate. Highly suggest this option after a long day, when your legs can't take another step, or if you have small children, and are toting lots of stuff..

I usually always get the concierge breakfast option, but for an exra $55 per room, per night, I could not justify a buffet of cold cereal, fruit and baked goods at that price. There is a Molly's restaurant downstairs off of the lobby, and we had a delicious hot breakfast for four for about $54.00.

Service from staff is quite friendly. Our maid left us plenty of Starbucks coffee supplies to make two cups per person, which was perfect before we headed out for the day. The vanity area is very small, so only one person at a time can really get ready, and the hairdryer is a very old type that I never find dries quickly: if you are picky, bring your own.

The bed and pillows are super comfortable; I could not wait to sink into mine after a long day of walking around Disneyland. Room appeared very clean and orderly. I like that the property required use of your room key to enter the hotel at night, although I never at all felt unsafe on or around the property. Be advised parking is an exra $16 per day for self park or $20 per day for valet.

Room Tip: Request a room at the far end of the hall - great views and very quiet. Ice machines/soda machines a...

I truly do not know what it is about this hotel that my family and I like SO MUCH! We have stayed at the Sheraton Park 5 or 6 times over the last 3 years and have had the best time every time!

The lobby is not much of a hang-out spot, a small seating area in a large tiled space. There is a bar with great service, nice drinks and typical hotel prices. The grounds to the hotel are highly manicured with lots of palm trees. Lots and lots of palm trees. Nothing says vacation like laying in a lounge chair looking at palm trees!

The rooms are average size, very nicely furnished, well maintained and super clean. We have never had a cleanliness issue in all our stays. The beds are very comfortable. Rooms come with a small refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee maker. Shower has nice water pressure and the curved rod is nice. The sink outside the bathroom is nice for getting ready in the morning.

The pool area is awesome. There are tons of chaise chairs, tables with chairs and a lot of shade. The pool is huge compared to most hotel pools and heated to a comfortable temperature. In the pool area is a bar that serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as a small selection of hot food, like nachos and chicken fingers. On busy days there is a server that comes around to the tables and lounge chairs and takes orders. Nice.

As far as the location goes, this hotel is pretty good. It is just south of California Adventure and across Katella. If you wanted to walk to the Disneyland / California Adventure park entrance it would take about 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. Nearby and within walking distance is Garden Walk which has many restaurants. Keep in mind that there is a Disney ticket counter inside the lobby of the Sheraton Park hotel so you can purchase tickets at the hotel and skip the lines at the Disneyland Resort.

Other amenities of this hotel is a small sandwich/pizza shop with a Starbucks. They also sell beer and wine in cans and bottles, as well as breakfast items and other grocery. There is a nice gift shop on-site as well.

There is a coffee shop type restaurant on-site, we have never eaten there so I can't comment. There is a barbeque restaurant at the resort, food was good-not great, service was good-not great.

Cons: For some reason, this Sheraton thinks people are not capable of shopping the final rate for hotels. Do they not know that most people check the room rate, parking fee and other add-on charges before making a decision? Does anyone decide to book based on just the room price and then get surprised by the add-on fees? Why hotels refuse to just offer the standard amenities for one price included in the room rate, I will never know. This Sheraton charges $15 per night to park and $9.95 per day for internet. $25 per night in extra fees. I only book a room to stay at the Sheraton Park when they have a free parking special, otherwise, there are many other hotels nearby that do not charge for parking.

Pros: A clean and relaxing hotel. The pool area is very nice, the resort grounds are beautiful, the staff is fantastic and it is close to Disneyland/California Adventure.

Room Tip: Because this is a Disney area resort, if you want quiet - get a room away from the elevator so you d...

I stayed 3 nights because I had business at the nearby convention center. The facility is older but reasonably maintained. I stayed in a club level room on floor 14. My room was close to the elevator and while I did not complain, I would request a room far away from the elevators as you hear them going up and down. The club suite offers a simple but good breakfast with cereals, fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels and Danish. They have juices, coffees and my favorite thing is a really good automatic espresso machine for cappuccinos and latte's. In the evenings they have a hot hors'doevres bar, snacks and a bar with ber wine and liquor. My room was a basic hotel room with a really nice 50' inch Panasonic flat screen TV and a comfortable bed. They charge $15/day for wifi in your room but offer it free in the lounge areas. The hotel is walking distance to the Anaheim convention center....only the Hilton is closer. It is also adjacent to Disneyland....the hotel is full of families vacationing at he Magic kingdom. I did not eat at any of he restaurants in the hotel....they were not very busy. I used the gym and it was small but really nicely equipped with cardio machines treadmills, bikes and elipticals. They have a full set of life fitness weight machines, free weights upto 50 lbs and a very nice ab, stretch, advanced training area with mats, plyo balls etc....it was a solid hotel and I found the staff particularly in the club room very helpful and nice.
