“Pricey, some hidden costs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

First, the hotel staff was irritated with us that we had booked through another website; thought these guys worked together. Then there's the high cost of $13.99 per person for the breakfast buffet; $9.95 per day for internet and $14.00 per day per car for parking. Even though the hotel did agree to waive our parking, they charged my son $54.00 the day we left; they won't refund it because he had to put cash into the machine for the arm to lift, and even though we have the receipt, to them, he can't "PROVE" he paid it. Gimme a break. The rooms were clean, comfy and nice.. The best part, as it turned out, was the free shuttle back and forth to Disneyland because our grandkids started getting sick the first night we were there, and wiped out my poor daughter in law as it spread from one child to the next, and their parents had to take turns going back and forth with kids who were up to going to D'land, and those that needed to be in the room.We had to extend our stay an additional night to give all of us a chance to regroup with the coughing, fevers, runny noses, etc. As this was our kids and grandies first trip to D'land, we did get to catch some magical moments with them, and that was the most important, special part of the whole trip. It was a Christmas surprise, and D'land lived up to it!

Room Tip: Just be aware that you can hear the booms from the fireworks over at D'land every night; if you...

Stayed here over new year with our large family of 7. Had interconnecting rooms. Rooms were lovely. Service was great. Disneyland desk was very helpful. Enjoyed the early morning walk each day to Disney. Only 10 -15 mins. Subway open 24/7 and on the way . Also a 7/11 and other convenience store. Ate in the overland restaurant using our voucher. Food was very good. Was a little quiet but we make our own noise. Great place.

Lovely decorated hotel had room available w/out reservation. Reservation desk personnel accommodated us with a handicap room & we were able to walk across street to convention center. Many walking-distance food establishments outside hotel & hotel does offers shuttle services. Employees were quick to respond to request for xtra toiletry items. Rooms have coffeemaker/refrigerator & room service menu. Hotel validates parking. Disneyland is walking distance; nice pool/fitness room w/beautiful tropical plants/palm trees surrounding the hotel grounds. Bedding: Great-quality linens (duvet cover), fresh/clean with more than one bed pillow! Avoid room near elevator/ice machine. You can hear people in hallway when in your room. I did not eat breakfast here although I was able to grab something to-go from a food/soda shop inside hotel.

Room Tip: Handicap bath disaster-- the lever to the show was too tight-could not adjust head-water ran out of...

I stayed here one quick night. The common spaces were nice and clean. Check-in was very quick and uneventful. The amenities of the hotel were not explained - I assume because I checked in late and was staying for a single night. The person working the front desk was efficient but it was obvious he didn't want to be there.

My room was clean and quite comfortable. I slept very well in this hotel - the hotel was quite empty the night I stayed. The desk setup in the room wasn't all that conducive to work as it shared space with the TV. If you expect to spend more than a day here and work in the room (at the desk) you should find another hotel.

The worst part of the hotel was the shower. Like so many hotels the shower head was so low I had to really crouch to wash my hair (I am just under 6' tall). The tub wouldn't drain very quickly either, so within a couple minutes I was standing ankle deep in sudsy water.

If I am in the area again and staying a single night I would revisit this hotel.

Stayed there in early December for a 5 day visit to Disneyland. Would def go back, as it was good quality and value for money. There's a shuttle bus right out the front if you don't feel like walking after a long day at the parks, but it's only a 10 or 15 minute walk as well. We had a lovely room with comfy beds, looking over both parks and the mountains (when the smog allowed). The front desk and guest services staff were very helpful in anything we needed. We were given credit to use in the restaurants, so we ate in both. The breakfast restaurant on the ground floor was ok, but there is an IHOP ony 5 minutes away as well. Wifi is a bit pricey ($10 per day/ per device). The dinner restaurant, Overland stage southwestern grill, had a huge menu, generous serves and the service was good. It lacked atmosphere (it was a ghosttown both times we went), but they were great with the kids and make a gigantic yummy margarita!

Room Tip: We were on the 8th floor, facing the parks in interconnecting rooms at the end of the hall. Overall...

Great location, 10 minutes walk from Disneyland. There is a shuttle but easy to walk to. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were adequate, food was ok. We stayed on the club level hoping to avoid lots of kids but the breakfast room up there was taken over by children every morning so we ended up just taking it back to our room. Overall a pleasant experience.

I will admit that we usually stay at the grand californian hotel when visiting disneyland but given my last minute planning, we ended up at the sheraton park anaheim and were pleasantly surprised. the location is only a few blocks away from disneyland/california adventure main gate so is an easy 10-15 minute walk. the rooms are clean and pretty basic, but if you're like us and spend 16 hours in the park, your time at the hotel is just for passing out after a day full of madness so it's fine. we got adjoining rooms on the ground floor that faced the pool and while I was originally concerned about being on the ground floor, it actually worked out since we were too tired at the end of the day to have to deal with waiting for an elevator! check in was easy and parking was super easy and reasonable ($16/day).
