“Great location for visiting Disneyland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

We took our 6 & 4 year old children to Disneyland. The last time we stayed there, we booked a room at the Grand Californian. It was a nice hotel, but nothing completely special. We weren't in our room very much, and we paid extra for a view. That extra money got us a view of the Goofy roller coaster track. Not exactly what we expected. So, for this trip, we found the Fairfield Inn. Two nights there cost less than one night at the Grand Californian. An extra hour at Disneyland just isn't worth that much! The rooms are not luxurious by any means, but they were clean, and there are washers and dryers on each floor in case you need to do laundry. Restaurants such as Mimi's Cafe, Tony Roma's, etc., are within walking distance of the hotel, and McDonald's practically shares the parking lot, which was great for grabbing a quick breakfast in the morning. The walk to the park took less than 10 minutes, and that's with two little kids in tow. All in all, worth the money. In the future, we will stay here. Our kids are delighted that we used the money we saved to purchase them toys/mementoes of the trip, which will last longer than the memory of an extra hour in the park.

3 out of the 4 times our family have been to Disneyland, we've stayed here. Every time has been a pleasure. Early check-ins and late check-outs were never a problem. Staff were always helpful, no matter the time, day or night. The rooms and amenities were modern, comfortable and very clean. With 4 adults and 3 children, we certainly didn't make it easy for housekeeping! Kudos to them for their hard work.

We've had a look around other hotels on Harbor Blvd, and they simply do not compare in terms of decor and comfort. Do yourselves a favour, don't bother looking elsewhere and book your stay with Fairfield Inn. You won't regret it.

Room Tip: Upper levels facing the road gives you a view of the back end of Tomorrowland (I think??), but great...

This was our second stay at the Fairfield Inn and we have had no negative experiences. Our family of eight (5 Adults & 3 children aged 11,5 & 5) stayed in two (interconnecting) Disney Themed city view 2 queen bed rooms. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping our rooms clean around our large number of suitcases.

We requested (and it was available) to stay close to the washing machine / dyers which are located on every floor which is very convenient when washing early in morning or late at night when home from the Disney parks.

We like the convenience to the McDonalds out the front (easy to grab and eat on way to the parks each morning) and the two close cafes Mimi's & Millie's for casual dining.

This hotel is very clean, has all required basic amenities and close walking distance to the Disney Parks which is great for us international travellers without a vehicle.

As we generally only stay approx. 4-5 nights each time and aren't in the room very often (at the Disney parks all day or travelling to other LA tourist destinations) we haven't used the pool or games arcade but have found the rooms are more than adequate for us.

The greatest plus point about this hotel is the close proximity to Disneyland. Other than this, the hotel is just average but the beds are double so it can easily accommodate up to 4 pax in a room. I would prefer the basins to be in the bathroom and a proper cupboard but in the room that I stayed, it was an open concept, like a studio apartment.

We stayed here between May 10th and May 16th 2013. It was just myself and my wife who were on our honeymoon from Australia to go to disneyland. We found this hotel fantastic for what we wanted. If you are looking for somewhere nice and reasonably priced to stay whilst living it up in Disneyland this is your place. The staff were more than helpful in organising Taxis when required and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be staying here again next time we are coming to Disneyland which hopefully will be soon. Rooms were very clean and had no issues with noise. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Fairfield, family of four, for four nights (October 14-17).

Pros: Check in process was quick. Very friendly staff from the front desk, to the maintenance, to the housekeeping, to the valet, etc.
Close proximity to Disneyland, restaurants, etc.
Comfortable beds, decent room size, very clean rooms. The housekeeping would arrange the kids stuffed animals on their beds, which was a cute touch.
Well priced.
Citrus water in the lobby was very refreshing after a long hot day of walking.
Arcade on the 3rd floor was great for the kids after we had returned to the room at night. Nice touch.
Laundry for guests was very helpful. And the laundry soap in the gift shop was well priced.

Cons:
More of a "motel" feel due to the hallways being outside i.e. no private balcony, people walking by your room, etc.
Requested a park view room upon making the reservation (3 months ago) and received a view of the freeway.
No breakfast provided. I have to say, by far, this was the biggest con.
Small pool area.

All in all, Fairfield was all we needed for a Disney vacation, however, there was nothing that made them stand out as sensational. I understand that this is a budget hotel, and it very much felt that way. That being said, it was close to the park, had comfortable beds, and was adequate for what we needed that week. If the hotel began providing a complimentary breakfast, we would return.

Thank you for choosing the Fairfield Inn for your recent trip to Disneyland! We appreciate you sharing your comments, both positive and negative, as your feedback is a priceless tool in helping us to maintain and improve our guest experience. It is wonderful to hear that you and your family enjoyed our location, friendly staff, clean rooms, arcade, and guest laundry machines. However, we apologize that your request for a park view room was not met, and we will certainly pass your feedback on complimentary breakfast along to management. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future!

I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn with my 3 kids. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Disneyland (a couple of blocks away - a 5-10 min walk maximum). The staff were all very friendly and always greeted you upon exit and entry of the hotel which I thought was a nice touch. The rooms are a little dated with a Nemo wallpaper frieze but hey, all you need really considering you aren't going to be staying in the room much (when you are out at Disneyland and California Adventure Park)! It was clean, had a small bar fridge, ice machine on each floor (from memory) and I thought it was great that there was a communal microwave and toaster on the 3rd floor where the little cafe was. This was really handy because all my kids wanted was vegemite toast for brekky after our dreadful experience at "The Pizza Press" a couple of doors down for breakfast - go read that review! Do NOT go to that place for brekky! We didn't spend much time at the pool at the Fairfield and it's just a pool to cool off in....nothing special but all in all I think this hotel represents good value and the beds were comfy and rooms were clean. A nice place to stay!

Room Tip: We were on the 9th floor & had a freeway behind us but we were exhausted after our time at Disne...
