“Within walking distance to Disneyland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

The greatest plus point about this hotel is the close proximity to Disneyland. Other than this, the hotel is just average but the beds are double so it can easily accommodate up to 4 pax in a room. I would prefer the basins to be in the bathroom and a proper cupboard but in the room that I stayed, it was an open concept, like a studio apartment.

We are very happy to hear that our close proximity to Disneyland worked out so well for you! We also appreciate your feedback about the bathroom set-up, which we will pass along to management. We appreciate your review and hope you will join us again on your next trip to Disneyland!

We stayed here between May 10th and May 16th 2013. It was just myself and my wife who were on our honeymoon from Australia to go to disneyland. We found this hotel fantastic for what we wanted. If you are looking for somewhere nice and reasonably priced to stay whilst living it up in Disneyland this is your place. The staff were more than helpful in organising Taxis when required and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be staying here again next time we are coming to Disneyland which hopefully will be soon. Rooms were very clean and had no issues with noise. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Fairfield, family of four, for four nights (October 14-17).

Pros: Check in process was quick. Very friendly staff from the front desk, to the maintenance, to the housekeeping, to the valet, etc.
Close proximity to Disneyland, restaurants, etc.
Comfortable beds, decent room size, very clean rooms. The housekeeping would arrange the kids stuffed animals on their beds, which was a cute touch.
Well priced.
Citrus water in the lobby was very refreshing after a long hot day of walking.
Arcade on the 3rd floor was great for the kids after we had returned to the room at night. Nice touch.
Laundry for guests was very helpful. And the laundry soap in the gift shop was well priced.

Cons:
More of a "motel" feel due to the hallways being outside i.e. no private balcony, people walking by your room, etc.
Requested a park view room upon making the reservation (3 months ago) and received a view of the freeway.
No breakfast provided. I have to say, by far, this was the biggest con.
Small pool area.

All in all, Fairfield was all we needed for a Disney vacation, however, there was nothing that made them stand out as sensational. I understand that this is a budget hotel, and it very much felt that way. That being said, it was close to the park, had comfortable beds, and was adequate for what we needed that week. If the hotel began providing a complimentary breakfast, we would return.

Thank you for choosing the Fairfield Inn for your recent trip to Disneyland! We appreciate you sharing your comments, both positive and negative, as your feedback is a priceless tool in helping us to maintain and improve our guest experience. It is wonderful to hear that you and your family enjoyed our location, friendly staff, clean rooms, arcade, and guest laundry machines. However, we apologize that your request for a park view room was not met, and we will certainly pass your feedback on complimentary breakfast along to management. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future!

I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn with my 3 kids. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Disneyland (a couple of blocks away - a 5-10 min walk maximum). The staff were all very friendly and always greeted you upon exit and entry of the hotel which I thought was a nice touch. The rooms are a little dated with a Nemo wallpaper frieze but hey, all you need really considering you aren't going to be staying in the room much (when you are out at Disneyland and California Adventure Park)! It was clean, had a small bar fridge, ice machine on each floor (from memory) and I thought it was great that there was a communal microwave and toaster on the 3rd floor where the little cafe was. This was really handy because all my kids wanted was vegemite toast for brekky after our dreadful experience at "The Pizza Press" a couple of doors down for breakfast - go read that review! Do NOT go to that place for brekky! We didn't spend much time at the pool at the Fairfield and it's just a pool to cool off in....nothing special but all in all I think this hotel represents good value and the beds were comfy and rooms were clean. A nice place to stay!

Room Tip: We were on the 9th floor & had a freeway behind us but we were exhausted after our time at Disne...

We recently visited this hotel for the fifth time. Every stay has been very pleasant, this time even more so. Someone from the hotel had reached out to my Mother, who had booked the reservation, to see if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. She mentioned the room location requests from the reservation. The hotel took care of all of these and even inquired about anything we might be celebrating. It was quite a wonderful surprise to walk into the room and discover a balloon and personalized card wishing me a Happy Birthday. I had no idea any of this correspondence had been going on, so it was a total surprise.

The room itself was very nice. We had a high floor park facing room that was "Mickey/Minnie" themed. The theme rooms are basically the same as the standard rooms except they have decorative wallpaper accents, a themed throw on the bed, and themed artwork. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and very welcoming after a long day in the parks. The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a nice job re-filling the amenities.

The computers in the lobby are a nice touch. Always comforting to be able to print boarding passes before heading to the airport. The lemon and lime flavored water is a nice treat as well.

The only downsides: I see on here that wifi is free. I wish that had been explained during check-in or noted somewhere highly visible in the room. I had taken out my iPad and started to connect, but the page looked like one that would result in a room charge so I stopped. Upon check-in, our room was not ready and they asked for my cell phone number to call us when the room was ready. The call never came and never has in prior visits.

Overall, we are very happy with the location and amenities of this hotel. We will be back in the future.

We appreciate your loyalty to the Fairfield Inn! We are very glad that you chose to celebrate your birthday with us, and that you enjoyed your room and the lobby computers. However, we apologize that our complimentary WiFi was not communicated to you, and that you did not receive a call when your room was ready. We have passed your comments along to management. Thank you for your review and look forward to your next visit!

Stayed for 3 nights with two children (family of 4). Room was on the third floor and was pretty noisy (although really glad we were not closer to the pool!). Good size and clean just a little dated.

Staff were good and I liked the kids "check in" area - nice touch. Also good letting us park to unpack etc and then return the rental car. Close to Disney (8 min walk). Found the shop in the foyer a little expensive (compared to the other little stores in the other hotels (went through a few of them looking for a convertor)). The food in Level 3 at Pizza Hut etc was good (good cheap breakfasts).

The hotel is just a little dated and has quite a bit of wear and tear but overall a pretty good stay

Perfect location for your Disney vacation. A 10 minute walk from the lobby to the main park entrances. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was always someone available no matter how late you got back from the parks. The rooms were always clean and seemed to be recently redone with tasteful Disney-themed art. The bathroom area had a brand new tub enclosure, tile and granite counter. An extra bonus was the great water pressure in the shower where the shower head had been raised to a reasonable height. Even with a hotel full of families the corridors were never too noisy and the hotel never seemed overcrowded. We booked through Disney and our package included free parking which was a nice bonus. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Disneyland.
