“Very convenient location to Disneyland, about 7-8 min walk.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Stayed Mon Oct 29 through Fri Nov 2. We are a family of four with two kids (8, 5). We stayed in a room with two beds on the 2nd or 3rd floor facing the pool in a non-Disney decorated room. The better rooms are the ones directly facing the park and upper floors - then you can get a view of the fireworks. Instead, we just walked out to the parking up and looked up.

The toilet and bathtub have a door that can be closed. The single sink and bathroom countertop is open to the bedroom (which causes a lot of light to flood the sleeping areas - good thing our kids don't care about light when they sleep).

The small fridge was convenient, especially since no breakfast is included so we stored drinks, etc. in it. No closet with doors, just a closet rod in the bathroom area. This property is more like a motel when it comes to the room itself but like a hotel because it has many floors. Rooms were sufficient for our purposes as we were at Disneyland every day. Having the McDonald's right there was super convenient. The hotel also has a small eatery in the hotel - prices were reasonable - plenty of breakfast options for under $5.

We did not swim in the pool, but many people did. So, if the noise bothers you (did not bother us), then request a room high enough or away from the pool area.

There is a daily parking fee. I think it was $10/day. While I certainly would prefer not to pay (some nearby hotels do not charge for parking), the cost was reasonable.

Front desk service was friendly, but they were very busy. We arrived 30 min before check-in. I was all processed and they took my cell number so they could call me when our room was ready. It was ready within the half hour.

Lastly, I booked this hotel through a Disneyland package from Costco. Everything was fine except that I didn't know that I would not get Marriott rewards credit for my stay. This stay would have given me enough nights to get into the next category of membership. Oh well.

Lots and lots of kids and families at this hotel with only one destination in mind - Disneyland!

Room Tip: Upper floors directly facing Disneyland can see the fireworks.

Thank you for the review!

We do have rooms that specifically face the fireworks, but if you don’t have one of those rooms, it’s as easy and walking to the other side of the building to see then when they go off. Even after seeing the fireworks countless times over my 7 years here, it still makes me smile every single time.

We do cater a lot to families given how close we are to Disneyland. So there are children all over the place which can make the lobby really noisy at times.

I do apologize for no one telling you earlier about not getting points. To get Marriott Rewards points you have to book directly through the reservations hotline or online. Any reservation booked through a package or websites like Travelocity, Expedia, etc are ineligible to receive points.

I do hope you come back to Disneyland for vacation, and stay with us again!

We stayed here in December and just loved it. The staff are very friendly and eager to please. They posted our postcards back to Australia for us and just couldn't help us enough. We came with two teenage kids and the free wifi was great. The location is just across the road and down a bit from Disneyland. Only a short walk. Right out the front door is Millies, a great little restaurant. Very handy to everything.
The room was nice and clean and we had a great view of the nightly fireworks from Disneyland. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone heading to Disneyland. We will be back!!

Our room was not available when we first arrived, but the front desk advised us that they had luggage storage so that we could go ahead and enjoy Disneyland or other attractions without being stuck with a large suitcase. The storage system was very secure and we didn't have a problem retrieving it when we returned later that afternoon. The front desk and other staff we encountered were exceptionally nice and helpful. It is within walking distance of the front gate of Disneyland which was convenient as we did not rent a car while we were there. The park is actually across the street, but you must walk in order to get to the gate. The location was GREAT for watching the firework display at night without having to remain at the park. We did not use the pool while we were there, but it came equipped with a lift for those in wheelchairs which we thought was terrific. There is a Pizza Hut on the 3rd floor and they also offer breakfast there. A McDonald's is right next door and there is also a sit down restaurant on the grounds. These are great alternatives for those traveling with young ones who don't want to spend a lot of money eating in the parks. The room we had was large and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms running parallel to the road on the higher floors are best for viewing the fireworks.

We offer complimentary bag storage if rooms aren’t ready when you arrive, so I’m glad you were able to take advantage of that and head to Disneyland early in the day. Our front desk staff is great, and thank you for recognizing them.

This was our second trip to this hotel and everything worked well. It is a 8 minute walk to the park entrances. We took the advice of other reviewers and asked for a quiet room. We also booked Park View to assure we were on the quiet side. There isn't much of a view from the rooms, but you can see fireworks from the upper balconies on the pool wing side.
The four star rating reflects that the rooms are older style, older in room heat/air and a place to hang clothes but no closet. Still, we will definitely stay here again.

Its a good option if you want to be walking distance from the park without spending a lot of money, Its not a luxury hotel, but the rooms are good size and clean.
I would not recommend the rooms with the disney decoration, there are more expensive, and are exactly the same size, the only difference its that they have a small decoration on the wall.

Forget about the clean rooms, the closeness to Disneyland, and the space the staff there is great. We checked in and they had put in our room 2 goody bags for my sons birthdays. At he last minute they upgraded us to another room. They ran up to the original room moved the goody bags and put up a happy birthday banner. My boys were suprised.Tatianna at the front desk made our trip more special. Thank you.

Great place to stay. On the balcony you can watch the Disney fireworks.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Our family and another family decided to take a trip to Disneyland together on January 2-6, 2013. We had a great time at Disneyland, but the hotel wasn't as pleasant. Our first observation of our hotel room was the horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The next negative was the horrible smell of cigarette smoke each night as we slept. The last was the pool gate slamming shut all night long, but the pool was supposed to be closed at 10pm. All of our concerns were brought up to the front desk. They assured us it would be taken care of. A maintenance worker came to our bathroom and said he couldn't smell anything, everyone else could! The front desk advised they would keep an eye out for people smoking; the hotel was labeled a non- smoking hotel. Well the morning we checked out a lady was smoking on a bench about 50 feet from the front door of the hotel and in front of the loss prevention worker as well as the other two workers standing by the front door. I watched them look at her several times and watch her puffing away, they did nothing. I had to confront the lady and advise her of the non smoking policy at the hotel. Long story short we will not be back to this hotel for our next trip to Disneyland (we go about 3 times a year). The only positive was the short walk to the front gates to Disneyland.

Room Tip: Do not choose a room on the first floor, especially near the pool area!

Thank you for the review!

I’m sorry you had a bad experience at the property. The pool gates shouldn’t have been slamming since the pool was closed at 10. I brought that issue to the attention of the Housekeeping Manager and the Chief Engineer to discuss with their staff that if they have someone going into the pool area after hours to make sure the gate doesn’t slam. The sewer smell, the front desk should have offered to move you rooms if the engineer wasn’t able to indentify and fix the problem and you still smelled it.

As for smoking, we are a smoke free hotel, however, that only means on the balconies and rooms. Unfortunately, people are able to smoke in the parking lot and as well as one of the 3 smoking areas. The area the woman was smoking in was a defined smoking area.

Again, I apologize for the negative experience you had at the hotel.
