“Clean, courteous & close (to Disney)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

We stayed here for a few days while visiting Disneyland. The location is awesome, just a short walk to the central plaza connecting Disneyland Park with California Adventure and Disney downtown. The room are spacious and everything worked properly. Our room had a flat screen tv, coffeemaker, and safe. The safes are a top-lid type meaning not as much depth as the usual variety. They will accept a laptop and documents, but bulkier objects such as a DSLR camera may not fit.

We arrived on the thanksgiving long weekend as such, cars were double parked all over the place. Fortunately, parking and valet parking were included in the disney package. They were also good about allowing us to check out and leave the car while we made one final visit to DIsney.

After checking in, we went to a restaurant just outside the hotel called "Millies". The place was dead but the lone waitress was apparently too busy to seat us, so we went elsewhere.

The hotel has a small pizza hut with a few tables in a food court arrangement on the third floor. You can also buy other food and drink there (including beer).

Overall, this hotel was a very good experience and we would stay there again.

Thank you for the review of our hotel!

The parking lot can look a bit chaotic, but our valet is great and keeping things together and organized in the amount of space we have in our lot.

We look forward to seeing you again.

We just got back from our third family trip to Disneyland with a 6 and 7 year old. We have stayed at two other good neighbor hotels and the Fairfield Inn is by far my favorite so far. We missed having a continental breakfast, but loved having McDonalds and Mimi's Cafe so close. And the market on the 3rd floor was great for getting some caffeine in the morning. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The small pull-out was great so the kids could each have their own bed. The staff was very friendly and prompt to address any concerns or needs that we had. The hotel was very clean and attractive. The walk to Disneyland was a very easy 10 minute walk to the front entrance. Not bad at all. The only negative we could think of was that the elevators were small and could get crowded and stairs were not easily accessible. But that is a pretty small problem. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: Ask the hotel for a room to see the fireworks. Make this request at the hotel directly as the corpo...

The best thing about this hotel is the location, which is just across the street from Disney. It was great not to have to get a shuttle bus every time you wanted to go to the park.
The room was a good size and the maids did a great job with keeping it clean and arranging the kids toys on the bed each day. The bathroom was really small with an incredibly noisy toilet flush. There was a large sink area with plenty of counter space. What would have been nice would be a curtain across the sink area to give a bit of privacy for people to get dressed, this would be particularly useful if you have older kids with you.
The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. However, you can tell it is an older building as people have to slam the doors to make sure they're shut and the footsteps of people walking outside echoed through the room.
Overall, it was an average hotel, but it was clean, comfortable and good value.

This was the first hotel we stayed in with our 4 month old, so I was nervous. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, especially the head bell man- he was awesome. Our room was so spacious and really nice - modern style. We had the two queens , there was also a mini pull out couch and we had the port a crib and still had plenty of room. It was super close to Disneyland, which made it nice with the baby. The only weird thing which I hoped they fixed was the elevators. Seriously one time we had to wait almost ten minutes in the morning. We couldn't take the stairs because of the stroller. Every time it took sooo long. That was the only bad thing, so they still deserve 5 stars

Thank you so much for the review!

I’m glad you had a great stay with your young one. And I’m sorry that you had to wait so long for the elevators. They can get pretty congested during busy mornings.

Hope to see you again soon!

If you're looking for a hotel that's walking distance from Disneyland, but don't want to spend a lot, stay at the Fairfield. The walk is literally less than 5 minutes. The rooms are clean and moderate sized. They have room service from Millie's (their arnold palmer is delish). The think i loved most was that check out was at 12pm! most hotels usually have check out at 10 or 11 so that was a plus! Overall it was a nice stay. i do recommend it.

Room Tip: if you want a "room with a view" save yourself a couple of dollars and just go with a regu...

Stayed here for 3 nights in July 2012 with my 3 yr old and 5 yr old and husband. The hotel is situated among many others near the gates to Disneyland. There is a city bus to the gates several times a day that you can get at the neighbouring Marriott hotel. Overall the place is fine. Front desk staffers were helpful. The restaurant had good food, nothing fancy. It was the busy season so there were no upgrades for silver elite Marriott customers like us but that was fine since we spent a lot of time at Disney. There was a nice pool out back, small but not too busy. Overall, decent location, price and amenities. A little lower end than other Fairfield Inn and Suites I have stayed at.

Room Tip: try for an upgrade

Stayed at this hotel for two nights before moving over to the Grand Californian.

The Fairfield is an adequate motel with exterior corridors and pleasant decor. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The room had two queen beds and a split bath with sink in the room and toilet and shower in the bath. The room was recently renovated and looked fairly crisp and clean. I did notice that the walls are extremely thin so you hear absolutely every sound your neighbors make. I also found the beds to be rather hard and uncomfortable. I was glad that we were only staying for two nights.

There is a McDonalds and a Millie's Diner in the parking lot. Mimi's Cafe is right next door. Ten minute walk (or less) to the Disneyland Main Gate. Location, Location, Location!

Be advised that if you use Disneyland Airport Express to get to the hotel from SNA or LAX the bus will drop you and your luggage unceremoniously at the curbside in front of Millie's... it's a long walk with luggage and a tired kid to check in!

Thank you for the review of our property!

I’m glad you liked the look of our newly renovated rooms. We updated them to be clean, fresh, and modern.

As for the Disneyland Express and other large sized busses, they generally do pick up on the curb in front of Millie’s due to potential difficulties navigating a large bus in our parking lot.

I appreciate your review and hopefully you’ll try us again next time you’re in the area.
