“great for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2012

I stayed in oct 2011 there was 6 of us and 1 2yr old. the hotel was great for the price. The rooms looked like they had been updated not too long ago. The pool wasn't too small, like the portifino which was a very huge let down when I stayed there. One of my favorite thing was after a day being out in the hot sun, was they put out water to drink. they put lots of ice and lemon or lime in it, now the water down there taste really bad but the lemon and limes helped with that. There is a coffee shop and pizza place but check there times of being open they close during the day for break and not open to late either. The walk to disney is a block away about a 5 min walk or so.

First of all, for a trip to disneyland, the location was ideal. As a family with 2 younger children, we were able to walk to the gates of disneyland within 10 minutes or less. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't have to drive again until we checked out. Super convenient. The hotel is updated and has a nice lobby/main area. The room was a bit on the small side, but very clean and new and decorated nicely. I loved the lime and lemon water available in the lobby! My only complaint would be that the pool/hot tub is VERY small for the large size of this hotel. It gets very crowded and is not really suitable for the amount of guests this hotel can hold. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Disneyland.

Return trip to this hotel due to its close location to Disneyland . We have stayed here several times before and cannot fault it for room size and location easy walk to Disneyland and many places to eat.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a high floor

I have stayed at this hotel several times and it is our go-to hotel for Disneyland. The location is excellent, within short walking distance to Disneyland. I have stayed at Disney's Paradise Pier and Disneyland Hotel and it is definitely a shorter walk as the Disney hotels require you to walk through the hectic Downtown Disney District, which can be a crowded challenge at park closing. Each stay we have requested a high level park view and received it. The park view is a pleasant skyline, but since this is an outside corrider hotel anyone walking by can see in your room if you leave the window open to enjoy it, not that we were in the room much anyway. The rooms are clean, but could use a bit better sound-proofing. Excited and energetic children are a common background noise, both from the outside corridor and the walls.

The lobby contains computer access for printing boarding passes and surfing the internet, but often a line forms. There is also lemon and lime water, which is very refreshing after a day in the parks. Flying from the east coast, we always arrive at the hotel prior to check-in time and unfortunately we have never been able to get a room upon arrival. There is luggage storage and a bathroom to freshen up in before heading to the parks, but I think most people have the same idea so a healthy line has usually formed after park close to complete the check-in process.

The hotel is located on the main drag along with numerous other hotels. This location is good for people who do not rent cars as there is the Disneyland Shuttle and Super Shuttle and they fill up quickly without having to drive all over town to get enough people to finally head to the airport. We were also close to the pick up location for Grayline to arrange day trips to Hollywood and Knott's Berry Farm.

Overall, a great value hotel and excellent location. It is a shame this Fairfield Inn does not offer the free breakfast that most do though.

The big thing going in favor of this hotel is the location - you are literally less than a 15 minute walk to the turnstiles at either Disneyland or DCA. It is one of the few "chain" hotels that can make that claim - most of the non-Disney hotels that close to the gate are shoddy, locally owned establishments that have mixed reviews.

Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and for the $65/night we paid through a package deal on Orbitz, an excellent value. The Disney art on the walls inside the room was a nice touch. One thing I wasn't so happy about was noise from adjacent rooms, but it wasn't a huge issue and we were easily able to ignore it.

One tip - fruit-infused water (usually limes or lemons) was available in the lobby daily. Anaheim tap water is usually nasty but this tasted pretty good. If you're looking to save some cash in the parks, filling up a water bottle with water from the lobby is an easy way to do so.

Ok I go drive down to Anaheim at least one a month or every month, so have a good idea what hotels are awesome and what ones aren't. This Fairfield Inn is awesome. It's clean, quiet, and it's at a great location if you're going to Disneyland. The main gate is less than 10 minutes away. I recommend this hotel to all my friends.

We stayed here again for the 17th time at this wonderful hotel from the 22nd May thru till the 3rd June in room 411, we stay here every year, obviously staying as many times as we have we are absolutely thrilled with this hotel. Fantastic location, right across the street from Disneyland with the I - 5 freeway near by. We travel from Sydney Australia every year and have always had nothing but praise for this hotel. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy and the staff are always very friendly. We stayed during the Memorial Long weekend and the hotel and car park area was the busiest we have ever seen it. Will be going back again definitely.

Room Tip: Always ask for a room with a view towards the Disney resort
