“Very Nice on a Busy weekend!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2011

We stayed on the 3rd floor over Halloween weekend. This hotel is Very nice, newly remodeled and clean. We had a fairly large room with a King be and pull out couch (bed) coffee table and large flat screen tv. There were a lot of people in and out of this hotel all weekend and we didn't have any problems with noise or anything else. The place was very quiet after 10 pm and the room service was prompt, courteous and thorough. Everybody we came into contact with was extremely friendly, security, bell hops, front desk, etc. I will use this hotel again. It is very close to the entrance of Disneyland and Cal. Adv. One minor complaint I have with this hotel and with others is, I wish they would steam clean their carpets more often.

We spent a month in America travelling around as a family of 5, and this was our favourite place. Well laid out rooms. Across the road from Disneyland - easy walking distance. We stayed on level 3, near the pool. It was fantastic. There is a Pizza Hut on level 3, where I got tea, fresh fruit, yoghurts, etc. Ice machine & drink machine on every level. Laundry (commerical washing machine & dryer for $1.50 each!!). Was never in use when I needed it. Free Wi Fi. Free computers & printer in the foyer to print Boarding Passes. Fireworks can be seen from the balcony.

I thought this was one of the nicer hotels I have stayed at when visiting disneyland. I still prefer the hotels that are right outside the gate; this one is a slightly longer walk. But for a bit longer walk you get a very comfortable, extra clean hotel. Finding parking was a hassle. I would stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights at the end of Sept. 2011. This was the perfect choice for our family of 5 (kids ages 5 - 1). It is a short walk to the front gates of the park, so we could easily come back mid-day from Disneyland for naps/rest time and then go back. The pool was nice, and somewhat screened by vegitation from the parking lot. I was happy with this level of hotel for our family. Not luxury, but clean and updated rooms. Our rooms were on the 4th floor facing west, and did not have problems with noise. We went to bed pretty early and got a good night's sleep every night too. The 3rd floor Pizza Hut Express was convienient for an early breakfast - and did have some healthy items. I personally would skip Millie's - the service was fine but dinner food was pretty disappointing - even for a chain. We will stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for our family trip to Disneyland. The hotel was clean, the beds had good linens and were comfortable and the fridge was a handy item to have in the room. It was also perfect distance to the park only a 5 min to the gates. The cafe on the 3rd floor was terrific for a quick breakfast to go and the prices were reasonable. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room so this hotel is all you need for Disneyland.

Don't let the "resort" name fool you....this is a motel right down to the exterior hallways. It has an excellent location (a short walk to the main gate of Disney) and has a nice but smal pool. The rooms are on the small side but are clean. Overall this is a reasonable place to stay if you're headed to Disneyland and don't expect to spend alot of time in your room. As many other reviewers have noted, the parking charge is insanely high.

First of all, if you are planning on hanging out at Disneyland and doing nothing else then you are in the same boat as my family. First you have to realize that parking is an expensive commodity is this area so you will be charged to park at the hotel as well as Disneyland. With that being said, we decided to not rent a car from LAX to the Fairfield Inn. Instead, we reserved the Blue Shuttle which picked us up at the airport and the hotel in a timely fashion. It was awesome. Second, the Fairfield in is by far the best hotel and literally across the street from Disneyland. Most hotels in the area do NOT have shuttle service so for those hotels that are a mile away, (Holiday Inn) is not worth it. Your family walks miles each day at Disney and walking across the street is long enough. The staff at the hotel is amazing. You can store your luggage if you arrive early or if your plane is taking off late and you want to hang around the area after check out. Also, the beds are clean and way comfortable. I recommend this hotel and we will continue to stay here on our next trip.
As far as the restaurants near by, McDonalds is right next to the hotel and that is a cheap way to go. In addition, there is Millies which is a wonderful restaurant that is cheaper than IHOP and the service is amazing. Millies is next to the hotel. Now IHOP is less than a block away but the prices were aweful. You are better off eating at Disneyland than eating at this IHOP.
Here is some tricks we learned while spending 4 days at Disneyland. you can take food in as well as drinks as long as they are not open plastic containers. Yes you can bring in water and food for everyone! Second, get your picture taken by the pros at Disneyland and they will give you a plastic photopass card. You can use the same card and get your family's picture taken everywhere and the photographers will scan your card. Don't print any photos while you are there. Take the card home and you have 30 days to choose which photos you want. So you don't have to worry about squishing those priceless photos. You can do this with those rides that have photos taken as well.
Finally, go to Disneyland between Monday-Thursday. The rides lines are usually 5-10 minutes long (sometimes less). We also noticed that there were less people in the park before noon then after. And, I had a friend that used one of those services that offers used Disney Tickets for less. He would not do that again since he spent half the day trying to fix the issues that come with those tickets. I don't recommend them. Have a great trip and I hope this helps.

P.S. I didn't know this but Disneyland has this area called Disney Downtown. You DO NOT need tickets for this. Disney Downtown has tons of cool stores, ESPN, Disney Store (3Blocks Long), as well as many others that you can spend a day shopping/eating. From the hotel you walk towards Disneyland and get your backpacks/purses looked at then continue straight and walk through the other check point. You will start seeing shops and cool restaurants.

Room Tip: The character room have 3 framed posters on the walls and some other items. I am not sure if it was...
