“OK, but can do better.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2010

The Homewood network certainty provides a home-like rooms and suites. It includes a kitchen fitted with fine
Dishes , big fridge, dish-washer, stove, microwave ….
I beleived that ordering a hotel outside LA with be feeling better.
However, not totaly so with this one. The downside of the Morgan Hill branch, is the location – just 40 meters (120ft) from 101 freeway.
This does not feel like home !!! Also, this hotel is a bit old, and it shows in the room.

We had a two room suite : living room with open sofe, and bed room with king.
It can sleep 4 ( or 5 with some adjustments ).

Also, extra blankets were a bit crumpy.
So it is Homewood – but it can do better.
Room – average.
Sleep Quality – good .
Bath area – good.
Hotel Surrounding – Noisy.
Pool – looks fine.

Stayed here two nights over the weekend and everything was very orderly. The hotel is clean, safe (you have to use your key card to get in any building other than the lobby) and comfortable. It's not luxurious, but you didn't expect it to be. The pool area was well kept and the adjacent synthetic putting green is a nice amenity. We ate the complimentary breakfast both days and the selection varied from one day to the next. Like the hotel itself, the food was remarkably adequate. Not great, not bad. There were two grills in an open courtyard for people wishing to cook their own food (presumably for extended-stay guests). The kitchen was nice to have – full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and two-burner stove.

There's a Trader Joe's within 15 seconds of the side exit, which is very convenient.

I'm not sure if this applies to the whole hotel, but if a queen bed will suffice, you might request a double-queen room rather than a king. We had the double queen room while our companions had a king, and our bedroom was much larger than the king room's bedroom, including a desk that wasn't in the king room.

A minor issue was encountered when our room key wouldn't open the door to the building after 12:00p on check-out day, even though we had been granted a late (1:00p) check out. Fortunately some people in my party were still in the building and one of them was able to come open the door for me.

I usually stay at Marriotts when I travel, but when I come to this area in the future, I will always stay at the Homewood Suites in Agoura Hills. The suites are modern, clean, well-laid out and appointed. Equipped kitchen w/dishwasher, disposal, microwave, 2-burner cooktop and full size refrigerator with granite countertops. Also, coffeepot w/coffee, creamer, sugar, etc and microwave popcorn too!

Wasn't here for the afternoon "meals" (M-Th) but saw the menu and it looked wonderful. We did have the free breakfast every morning, and it was by far the best free breakfast I've ever seen at a hotel. The breakfast hosts Enrique and James are pleasant, helpful, fun and welcoming. They make an already great breakfast experience even better!

The location is outstanding - right off the 101 and off Kanan Road, which goes through the canyon to Malibu, many hiking trails and beautiful beaches. The frosting on the cake is that a new Trader Joe's, which is adjacent to the hotel parking lot, opened while we were here. You could feed you and yours very easily and at little cost but shopping there during your stay. Besides the food is GREAT!!!

The pool and hottub area are beautiful! Just wish we'd had more time to enjoy them.

Free internet in the room.

Cannot think of a thing that could be improved upon at the hotel. It is really really great!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our trip up the PCH. Great location for visiting Santa Monica, Beverley Hills, Hollywood without being in the hustle and bustle of LA. The staff are so friendly and make you feel really at home - they should bottle their customer service ethics and make a fortune ! Karen, in particular was splendid. Suites were great - very clean, spacious and good decor. The breakfast and evening reception is such a bonus - the lady with the red hair streak and James are so friendly and helpful. The free Business Centre is great. Caesars Palace and the Hilton Union Square need to send their staff to this hotel to learn about customer service.

It is so close to Malibu beaches without the hefty price tag. This was our 2nd time and it didn't disappoint. Breakfast is always crowded, but that is to be expected.

I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed my stay. I liked the suite layout of the rooms, and the room was very clean with a comfortable bed and large screen TV. The facility seems new. Staff was very nice whenever I had a question, but I did have a lot of problems with my keys not working. The included breakfast was pretty good and had hot items along with the cold ones. Bonus for included breakfast and wifi.
