The hotel us in a good location for people visting local attractions such as the Camarillo Premium Outlets, Reagan Library, etc

The room was clean and quiet (I was worried that some of the families with kids would be noisy, but was given a comfy, quiet room. Price was reasonable, and you get a decent place in a convenient location.

If you have kids and want a place they can run wild, this is for you. Despite repeated requests for the management to deal with rowdy kids above our suite, nothing was done. We were "entertained" for hours with so much action it rattled the dishes in our cabinets. The facility is fine, housekeeping staff attentive and the proximity to Trader Joe's and Jinky's (for decent Italian-style caffe) is a plus...but we won't be back in search of a restful stay at this place!

Stayed here after reading the positive reviews on TripAdvisor and finding a good deal on Priceline.

The property overall is fairly small, but the rooms were spacious and reasonably clean. TV in each room (bedroom and living room); full-size fridge and kitchen; separate temperature control for bedroom and living room; fairly large bathroom (the sink is right outside of the bathroom, fairly low in height). Nice Neutrogena toiletries, and wi-fi worked well.

The layout of the suite (bedroom suite, in our case) is a little tricky if you stay as a family and want bedroom privacy -- if the people sleeping in the living room need to use the bathroom, they do have to enter a portion of the bedroom to get to the bathroom area.

Although there were some issues with sound insulation (people running up and down the stairs, rolling suitcases), much of the time the property felt calm despite it having high occupancy.

Communal amenities were also good. Breakfast (daily) and complimentary dinner reception (Mondays-Thursdays) were both well-stocked with hot and cold foods. (The dinner is more streamlined fare -- one main entree -- but hey, it's free food and comes with complimentary wine/beer.) Coffee, tea, and newspaper in lobby. Cookies available at the front desk in the afternoons. The outdoor pool and putting green were clean, as was the fitness center. You do get some views of the hills (true to its location in Agoura Hills) to the north and south of the property, and even though they were not the most majestic of views, they were pretty enough to enjoy and rendered a bit of a mountain lodge-like feel in the mornings and evenings.

Very friendly and courteous staff, without exception (I interacted with several staff members, and they seemed all very kind, genuine, and hard-working). No problems with parking.

Minor cons:
* You do have to put the linens on the sofa bed yourself;
* A cheerio fell out of the sofa when I first opened it -- recommend that the housekeepers check and clean the sofa bed for each guest;
* Stairways were not vacuumed/cleaned well.

I had trouble getting a hotel for the 9 nights I wanted. In the end I went with Homewood Suites in Agoura Hills. The price made me a little unsure as to what I would get. WELL what I got was a very good reception at check in, a wonderful suite, yes a full suite, food in the evening, hot and cold food, enough to satisfy also drinks, not just coffee etc but wine and beer. A very full and well prepired breakfast both hot and cold food, fruit, a large selection of bagles, muffins and breads. Fresh fruits cerials and so much more. The people running the dinning area seem to have time for everyone and still keep the food flowing. The people running of this small out of the way hotel have got it right. If all hotels were run as this one is life would be good. OH by the way did I mention that for the 2 of us the price was $120 pre paid per night. What value what a star crowd of people running this place. I will never look down my nose at these small hotels again, in fact I will look to stay at them if possible.
