“Packed full of interesting stuff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

When we purchased our tickets for the Big Bus tour we were given coupons for free entry to the Crime and Punishment Museum and decided to give it a whirl.
We were really impressed with the quality of the museum - you start off with torture tools from many many years ago and then work through different eras including the wild west and gangsters. This was all very interesting and the museum got better and better as we went around. We particularly liked the sections on investigations including the role of the Police and Crime Scene Investigators (fabulous section on CSI including a crime scene, autopsy, DNA testing, ballistics and fingerprints).
There were also interactive exhibitions which gave us the opportunity to drive a car simulator for a high speed chase and a shooting range simulator.
The only problem for us was the fact that we didnt allow enough time to fully look at everything. Sadly the weather had been poor on our first couple of days so we were really packing stuff into our last few days.
An excellent experience and we recommend this to anyone who has an interest in crime

“Wow! What fun.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

We happened to hit the museum during a slower time and the video game like police activities were amazing. Plus, it was fascinating to learn the back story behind some of the most (in)famous crimes and criminals. We really enjoyed ourselves.

“Decent museum, but on the expensive side”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

Overall it was interesting, but in a city with some of the best museums in the world it is too expensive for the price. The beginning exhibits on medical crime and torture seems a bit gimmicky (reminds me of a wax museum), but the exhibits get better as you go. It is bigger than we expected, and there are several interactive components, which the kids really enjoyed. When it got into crime solving science and related history the museum got more interesting. Drop the price a bit a spruce things up and it will be a winner. But if you do have an interest in this topic you will enjoy it either way.

“Great Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

We were kinda apprehensive since there was so much "free" stuff to do, but found discount tickets and we had a ball, everyone enjoyed and I have BIG kids(teen&21+). We really enjoyed this museum and highly recommend to visit.
