We stayed here for a conference. The staff (as with most Hiltons in my experience) were terrific -- very friendly, very helpful, very accommodating -- especialy the concierge and the evening doorman. Our room was clean and comfortable with nice modern furnishings and plenty of space for the 2 of us. The only complaint would be that the walls aren't very soundproof. We were able to hear our neighbors on both sides. Luckily, neither party was too loud late into the night. (They probably didn't enjoy hearing us either!)

The hotel is nicely situated, just a 3- or 4-block walk to the Dupont Circle Metro station. The one evening we walked home from the White House (~1.5 miles). Great food up Connecticut. Be sure to stop in at Bistro du Coin. Lovely atmosphere. Delicious meal.

On the day we arrived, I had our window open a little (nice touch btw!) and could hear dogs barking. I looked out and saw that the fenced-in hotel pool area was filled with dogs and their owners, so we went down there. Apparently, once the hotel closes the pool for the season, they open it up one weekend as a sort of pop-up dog park. What a nice thing for Hilton to do for their neighbors! Everyone was laughing and having fun as the dogs ran amok. It was truly a great welcome to Washington!

I stayed here for a meeting, and it met my needs. I admit I was annoyed about being nickel-and-dimed for things like WiFi in the room or gym access. Some staff were very friendly (housekeeping) while others seemed bent on ignoring me even though it wasn't busy (restaurant, doormen). All in all, I feel everything was adequate, but I wouldn't spend my hard-earned money or free time on a vacation here.

My family has gone here several times because we like this hotel. It's a lovely residential area with many choice restaurants nearby. City center and all that Washington has to offer is within easy access. It's large, size wise, but we've never had a problem making a reservation. They're very busy and bustling all the time. Even so, the staff is attentive, and tries to make your stay as comfortable & fulling as possible. Restaurants within the hotel are nice with very good food, albeit a bit pricey. My only issue is with the price of parking and you have no choice in that matter - it's where you have to park your car! It's convenient because you can take the elevators right up to your floor, bypassing the lobby if you want, but the price continues to increase each time we visit.

We stayed here for several night to explore the city. Good quality hotel with friendly, helpfull staff and clean rooms. Good value for money, comfortable beds and normally equipped bathroom. Great French restaurant nearby. Taxis are nearby constantly so you can travel without any delays. Nice hotel in a good area.
