We have stayed at a number of hotels in the district and have returned to the Washington Court on Capitol Hill three times because of the reasonable rates (especially when Congress isn't in session), friendly staff, and very comfortable accommodations. The food at the hotel's restaurant, Bistro 25, is very good, too, with a menu that is diverse and well prepared. On the most recent trip, I enjoyed kale salads with mandarin oranges and a zesty ginger dressing, and a pizza that was so generously topped I was able to make another meal of it later.

This is a quiet hotel where people come and go, but sounds are muffled to the point where rest comes easily and work can be accomplished in a stress-free environment. As other reviews detail, the hotel is located walking distance to the train station, Capital, other restaurants, and the museums on the National Mall. The main reason we give this hotel high marks, though, is the staff. The friendliness and courtesy we've found here make us feel welcome and at ease after a long trip across the nation.

Some of the heat during one of my showers was lost, which was a bit of an inconvenience and a minor discomfort. And some aspects of the hotel are fading around the edges--especially compared to The George, nearby. But the Washington Court is definitely on par with the Mayflower and others of that ilk for comfort and dining, if not history and provenance.

The Washington Court Hotel was an unexpected highlight of my recent trip to DC. My room was bright, spacious, and had a FABULOUS view of the Capitol Dome. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The in-house restaurant’s food and service were good and reasonably priced. The lobby’s multiple seating areas are elegantly furnished yet comfortable and inviting open spaces to socialize, read, or work on your laptop. The hotel is conveniently located only 2 blocks from Union Station, which not only turned out to be DC’s ground-transportation hub, but also a great place to dine and shop. The Washington Court Hotel was an unbelievable value for the money and I would highly recommend this property to family, friends, or anyone I want to impress.

Hello, a repeat stay at this wonderful hotel. Its located a 5 minute walk from Union Station in quite neighborhood., This hotel is within walking distance of the US CAPITAL and the museums. It makes a great business location, quite rooms comfortable beds. The food is good, and the drinks at the bar cold and well poured by bartenders who know how to make you smile.

Fo someone who finds this hotel on the internet and wonders the aqnswer should be yes, and yes the front desk will answer all the questions you may have. and well for thoase with families, its quite, cost effective and close to the mall. US capital end of mall.

So yes I would stay again and gain.

Stayed here with the family for Thanksgiving. The room was clean and the location was excellent. Only two block from union station. Service was ok. The only other thing was the shower pressure could be better, if you need good shower pressure, this hotel might not work for you.
