I just completed a week long stay at the Loews Madison and must say I was thorougly impressed. The property was just renovated last year and has gone through a complete renovation. Service levels were outstanding and food in the restaurants were great. I had breakfast every morning and entertained clients at the bar at night. The hotel is also a great location in downtown DC, just a few blocks from the White House and not far from the convention center. I plan on vacationing in DC with my family later this year and will definitely return to this hotel.

Just completed an 18 hour stay, associated with a wedding. Honesty - my policy - it was wonderful. Planning early we were able to obtain deeply discounted rooms (3) for our party.

The glorious discount was however diluted by steep valet overnight parking. But just above the D.C norm. Our car was delivered within ten minutes of making the call.

Envisioning myself as a hound, I would be able to catch the fox owing to the bank of six high speed elevators covering the 12 floors. Nary a wait, even with a full house.

The Madison does not appear to be a tourist hotel in the general sense, due to it's distance from Metro stations and the activities on the Mall. Seeking a very quiet night away with that certain "one". Look no further.

Stop, breathe in the aura of being in the heart of another branch of our government ... Lobbyist Central, one block south on "K" street.

A Top tier of "Olde World" middle east gentlemen await the opportunity to be of service.

Room Tip: Know that the Bridal Suite is the only room with a view.

A hotel located in the heart of Washington DC. Walking distance to the convention centre as well as to the shops of Georgtown and conveniently close to a morning run around Lincoln Memorial. Nice, clean and quite new spacious rooms with soft beds.

The Madison was great! The location was perfect, very close to the White House and Georgetown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The restaurant, The Federalist was also great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to DC!

Last week was my first stay at the Madison after Loews took over the property. I had stayed there many times during the past year, and was curious as to what has changed. I was pleasantly surprised that the Madison is still the Madison with all the personal touches and warm and friendly feeling.

The only visible change was that the self-service gourmet coffee bar at the lobby, where I truly enjoyed my breakfasts, was closed down. I wrote to the hotel management about this, and they sent me a very kind reply. I hope that they consider opening it again. I also hope that they soon replace the cardio equipment at the fitness center.

Dry cleaning and laundry is still very expensive, although the quality of the service was better this time around.

Although there is no complimentary water in the rooms - an industry standard, almost- I would still recommend this hotel as one of my top choices in DC.

Our family spent November 21, 22, 23 at the Madison, as we did Thanksgiving in DC and it was beyond wonderful. We called and booked the rooms directly with the hotel, and Eugene was able to take care of every question and request and we took advantage of the extra discount by paying in advance. We had two rooms, and upon check in were informed that they were able to upgrade our rooms, our daughters to a higher grade and ours to the Penthouse floor! The Hotel is recently remodeled and unique as it is classic but modern, very elegant but also relaxed, kind of "restoration hardware" colonial meets Park Avenue. The staff was attentive to every need, helpful and gracious throughout our four days. Food was excellent, as was happy hour in the "lobby bar" was fun with unique drink specials and new twists on appetizers. The Madison is located just a couple of blocks from the White House, shopping and all the "Mall" venues. We will be doing Thanksgiving again this year in DC and will definitely again be staying at The Madison! We often stay at Four Seasons, Ritz, St. Regis when in LA or NYC the Madison was equal in every aspect, but more relaxed and fit our Atlanta family perfectly!

Room Tip: Rooms were excellent, views were not good on our side of building but was not an issue we walked all...

Recently we stayed at this hotel for the second time. The second visit was even better than the first.

The Madison is really the best of all worlds: The lobby is elegant and comfortable. Staff are professional and friendly. Rooms are beautifully decorated and relaxing. They accomplish what most upscale hotels do not -- they offer a relaxing and personal experience in an elegantly appointed space.

We only ate breakfast at the hotel and thought it was quite tasty in a lovely setting. Service was excellent.

The one slight drawback is that the hotel is some blocks from the closest Metro station. Fortunately the weather was beautiful and I enjoy walking, so that wasn't an issue. It is something to consider if you visit in the winter or are more limited in mobility.

Overall, the Madison is one of my favorite hotels in DC.
