This was a great location for getting to the heart of the city. Walking distance from the White House and easy access to the Farragut Metro station from which you can get most anywhere easily. The room was large, clean and comfortable for three of us in two queen beds. The only downside was the closet-sized bathroom.
Hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Just be very specific when you ask the concierge for a casual dining recommendation. We were referred to Olives just down the street, and it was not the inexpensive, kid-friendly restaurant we were hoping for. We ate in the hotel restaurant our first night, and it was fine, but not worth eating at again. Other dinner options nearby are limited and upscale, so if you're traveling with kids, do your homework in advance to find places to eat near to where you are sightseeing.
Overall, we were very happy. We get to DC every couple years and have stayed all over the city, and we would definitely go back to this hotel.
