This hotel is fantastic. It offers all you need for luxury in a hotel room with free internet connection and a gym.
There is only one problem, location. Even though it is in a good position for sight seeing it does not have many restaurants or eating houses nearby. Georgetown are the nearest about 15mins. walk away. The hotel does have its own restaurant but it is not as good a standard as the hotel itself.
All in all this hotel is first class and is highly recommended.

The location alone would have made booking a room here worth the money we paid. The hotel is 3-4 blocks from the Old Executive Office Building, with the White House just around the corner... However, the rooms were also incredibly comfortable. For us they were suite-style, with a large bedroom, with a full kitchen, bathroom and small room to separate the bedroom and bathroom. The beds were comfortable and clean, and there was a large, flat-screen TV in the room. The outside of the hotel is pretty nondescript, but inside it is impeccable. A good choice!

My husband and I stayed in room 124 for 3 nights (Fri to Sun) in early May. I was coming down for business and we tacked on a weekend for personal time.

The hotel room was huge - king bed, dresser, closet, desk in the main room. Powder room, bathroom and kitchen with small table and chairs.

The bed was very comfortable. The rest of the furnishings are a bit older and have seen better days I'm sure. Tile in the bathroom is probably from the 50s - yellow tile with black trim.

Everything was very clean and in good working order. Nice bathroom amenities.

Security - peephole in door, latch, electronic safe in closet where you program your own 4 digit code (big enough for my laptop). In the evenings you need your room card to get into the building.

Kitchen - has all the basic pots, pans, dishes, toaster, coffee pot etc. No microwave. Housekeeping washes them for you every day. No food or spices available. There is a Safeway grocery store about 6 blocks away in the Watergate Hotel shopping area. Front Desk can give you directions. They also have a nice health food section there with good selection.

View - none. We looked out onto an alley.

Location - great. Close to the State Department, and the Mall. Right by Georgetown University. Subway stop a few blocks away. Most taxi rides to / from places ran us about $10. There is an extra charge of $1.50 per person in the cab on top of the fare which can really add up.

This hotel has two entrances as it encompasses two buildings. To get to our room when we checked in we had to walk down the hall, through a parking garage and into the next building. After that we came and went through the other entrance which was more convenient.

Food - did not eat in the restaurant here so no comment. We used the kitchen for breaksfasts and lunch.

Service - front desk was efficient for check in and check out. They helped us with a local map and directions to the grocery store. Housekeeping was good.

We got a great rate of under $100 / night and this is a good deal for DC. Given the price the hotel is a good value for the money.

I picked this hotel on line for our trip. Our High school band was coming to march in the Memorial Day Parade. Right in the heart of DC, walking distance to alot of sites or the metro stop a few blocks away. The staff was courteous and friendly. Saved my parents on parking, told them street parking was free when they came. Beds were awesome (better than the Double tree in Crystal City that our band stayed at). Although my friends said the breakfast buffet was very exspensive. They would not do it again, eat their, but overall very satisfied. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Kuddos!!!!

This place was definitely affordable for DC and we made our reservations for Memorial Day weekend a few days prior to our stay and were surprised at the rate we were able to get! The only quibble I have is that someone at the front desk told us that parking was $25 over the phone, but when we got there, it actually cost $30 plus tax. No biggie. Room was big and clean, we had a kitchen and adorable powder room, which was really nice. Very good, name-brand, hotel bathroom toiletries were available to us. We were placed near the elevator so it was very noisy in the morning, since the walls were thin, and we also heard a lot of street noise. All in all, a good stay for the price.
