The staff at Hotel Rouge was so helpful and accommodating....yet so laid back! We love the decor here- very hip & funky. The bar is a great place to stop before heading to your VERY SPACIOUS room for the night. Plus, they are a pet-friendly establishment!! We brought our two dogs (one 50 lbs and the other 70ibs!) at no extra charge! It's centrally located and a great value for the price.

Each of the staff members I encountered went out of their way to greet me, offer assistance, and ensure that my stay was top notch. The rooms are huge, the beds are great, and the happy hour excellent. Thanks for all the extra touches!!!

My family of 4 spent 1 night here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are showing some wear and tear, but still very nice. The ultra contemporary decor is not my style, but the kids got a kick out of it. Bathrooms are pretty small, very low water pressure. The neighborhood was safe and we felt comfortable walking to the monuments at night. It was a little far from the touristy stuff for us. We were also disappointed that coffe shops, etc close at 8 or 9 pm. Also wish they had coffe makers in the room or complimentary coffe in the lobby at least.

Sorry guys, but the reason we booked this hotel was because it was voted as one of the most romantic hotels..Not! Nothing about this hotel was romantic, actually we found it to be rather cold..Room was clean..Service was good, but the bar food, just so so..Would not stay here again..

There are a lot of hotels in DC - but I keep coming back to the Kimptons.

Sure, the Hotel Rouge is a few blocks away from the Metro - but it's worth the walk.

I spent 3 nights here in December 2010. Every night was quiet, restful, and extremely comfortable.

My welcome was warm, friendly, and efficient - I was up to my room in minutes along with a personal note from the manager (a nice touch for Kimpton InTouch members). My room, a "deluxe king", was nicely sized. The bathroom amenities are very nice (though I do regret that they've recently switched from small replaceable bottles to larger receptacles bolted to the wall) and the mini bar is well stocked. Another benefit of the InTouch program is the $10 "Raid the Mini-bar" credit offered upon check-in.

The bar is small but apparently popular - there were people hanging out every night.

Valet parking is available.

I Pricelined 3.0 and 4.0-star hotels for my parents and aunt during the Thanksgiving Break. I wanted them to be comfortable and to feel that their vacation with us was a success. Thankfully, the staff at Hotel Rouge were wonderful. The manager took care of my parents and everyone was so friendly and helpful! Most of all, my parents and aunt were pleased with their stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers!
