My wife and I stayed at the Omni for five days. Our first vacation without the kids.
The hotel was beautiful. Very elegant.
Our room was very spacious and quiet. A big plus. We are Omni Club Members so we recieved complimentary breakfast each morning. This was very appreciated since everything in DC is overpriced (except the blue point oysters which are priceless). If you aren't a member, apply. It's free and it's the first hotel membership that we have that really came in useful.
The hotel had complimentary highspeed wireless internet so bring your laptop. The pool area was very nice although the hot tub wasn't working. You can get a cold beer and a hot snack without leaving the pool area.
My only complaint is the hotel is pretty far out. Fortunately there is a nearby Metro stop. There are a lot of restaraunts nearby, but they close early. Had a tough time getting a late night meal (after 9:30).
If you stay at the Omni and you fly into Reagan National, cab it to the hotel. Don't take the shuttle the hotel recomends. You'r on the shuttle for quite a while (the hotel is one of the last stops). Also, the cab actually turned out to be cheaper than the shuttel.
This was a great hotel.
