Restored and modern but still with a grand hotel appeal. Convenient to Metro and in a nice neighborhood. Kind of pricey but it is Washington DC and most places are expensive. I was attending a meeting but would love to return for a leisure stay.

Nice and friendly. Rooms are large, bathrooms are large, plenty of plugs for your electronics, free wifi. Not the most modern hotel, but classical beauty. Rooms are clean and updated. I was there for a conference and this was the preferred hotel. An expensive area, but they treat you like royalty. Trust me, I've stayed in some nasty government hotels in the DC area. This hotel is a little gem.

The Omni Shoreham is a beautiful hotel, but don't stay here if you would like to have a peaceful retreat. Our room was large and nicely appointed, but noisy. The floor above us squeaked every time anyone moved above us. We heard every door close and every conversation in the hall. The hotel lobby and facilities were fabulous and every staff member we encountered was very attentive to our needs.

This is a fine enough hotel---an average conference hotel, nothing notably good or bad . Except, I cannot sleep through the night here! The doors to the room have a large gap at the bottom, and that means any noise in the corridor comes right to the sleeping area. I was woken up both nights of my stay, the first time by people conversing in the hall at 1 am in normal voices, but last night by two guys screaming obscenities in their room at 2:30 am. I'm here in business, and staying at the Omni makes it impossible for me to function. Even though the conference I'm planning is here next spring, I will be staying elsewhere.

The price was cheap and the room was a good size. However, the room was outdated and borderline drab, as were the hallways and the small bathroom. The hotel overall needs a major facelift, and the bars inside are overpriced. It was disappointing, even though my expectations were lower knowing it was a conference/wedding hotel.

Check in was swift with a very professional front desk personnel . Was given a room with king size bed on first floor west wing. Room is fine except small bathroom, and why do I want a huge treadmill in my room ?
Here for six nights ( still here ) and sure they stuck us down what was a very noisy corridor being woken up up 1am and 2 am with noisy Americans who thought it was cool to carry on their conversations in the corridors , their talking was not even quiet talking it was a times shouting.
My other issue with this hotel is at $299 per night plus taxes has no breakfast included, is it worth that price NO...
This trip is a mixture of business and sightseeing ...

What a beautiful hotel! Perfectly kept and very clean. The lobby and restaurant area is breathtaking. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfy. Best of all was the staff. Everyone from the bellmen to the maintenance staff greeted us with friendly smiles and tried to be helpful. The hotel is historic but not stuffy at all. The pool area and gardens in the back were well kept and very nice. Lots to explore. The location was also good: close to the metro; walking distance to the zoo; Old Town Trolley stops across the street; and many good local restaurants close. We also enjoyed the restaurant on site, Roberts. All around a wonderful experience.
