We stayed 4 nights, check in was smooth, lobby area was beautiful, it was fun to read about the celebrity visits over the years. Scott, the concierge was particularly knowledgable about the area. Gave us amazing suggestions about places to eat, places to see, when to go see them, how to get there, etc. Room 657 was large and comfy, although located near a housekeeping closet, which meant sleeping in beyond 9am was difficult. After our first night, I realized I needed a firmer pillow which was promptly provided. Pool was heated, but more suitable to hang out in rather than to swim in (shallow and plenty of kids :). We did not use the in house restaurant as there were so many great choices close by (please read my restaurant reviews). Plenty of transportation options also close by including underground train stop, circulator bus, other buses, plenty of taxis. No need to bring the car. Recommend this hotel for families, couples looking to have a great time in Washington DC. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
