This hotel is conveniently located near Dupont Circle. The staff was fantastic, the room was beyond cozy and had quite possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I arrived late and tired to find red wine and cupcakes..... There was an Nespresso machine for the morning, followed by a lovely breakfast. The facility is really really nice, and so are the amenities. I highly recommend!

Room Tip: I was on the 6th floor, but the neighborhood looks quiet in any case.

We arrived late due to a flight delay and the hotel staff were very accommodating, gave us great food recommendations and Charlie was really helpful. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. We took taxis to Georgetown and the Mall but I believe public transport is a short walk away.

I knew nothing about the hotel when I made the reservation and was a bit nervous to stay in DC at an unknown hotel. However, my fears were quickly alleviated when I saw the cute, cozy hotel and met the wonderful and friendly staff.
The hotel was quaint and charming. It was kept clean. The wine/cocktail hour from 5-6 was a nice touch.
The staff were the best part of the experience....spoke to me every time I was in the lobby and called me by name. I felt as though they were looking out for me and made sure that I had a positive experience.
The hotel was in a great location and was within walking distance of the metro and several wonderful restaurants.
The price was very reasonable.
The hotel was also within walking distance of a great walking/running trail.

We had 3 nights at the Normandy Hotel and from arrival to departure this hotel ticked all the boxes. The staff made a point of speaking whenever we appeared and couldn't do enough. Our room was a bit small but suitable for our needs, the shower was fantastic, it was beautifully decorated and clean. There was coffee and tea available in the lounge at all times. From 5pm to 6pm a free glass of wine and nibbles. We thought breakfast was lovely. In a nice quiet suburban street and handy for the metro and buses. From an earlier recommendation we went to Ruth and Chrissies Steak House which was a bit expensive but worth every penny and even gave my husband a sweet with a birthday candle In it. Would certainly like to return one day.

Room Tip: We were on the fifth floor

Location and the friendliness of staff is a major plus for The Normandy Hotel. Even though the rooms were small but they were well kept.
With an entrance to the open terrace from the room, it perfectly catered to the needs for short stay travelers.

Located at 10 mins walk from the metro and the busy cafes, it offers a good value for money.

Even though its not comparable to a fancy high-end hotel, but I'll term it as a cozy boutique hotel ideally suited for short stay travelers in the mid of main DC.

Room Tip: If you're a smoker, look for a balcony access room on ground floor.

This was a great hotel with the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Chez and Charlie were so helpful. Rooms are very nice. Marble baths, Nespresso machines and fridges in the rooms. Location is in a quiet, lovely, residential neighborhood and just a 10 minute walk to the Metro. Wine and cheese hour was also very nice. We very much enjoyed our stay. We felt like we were at home. We will definitely be back.
