Our number 1 for a hotel is it's cleanliness, and before we even unpack, we're checking under sheets, around the toilet, the carpet. Our room checked out perfectly.
The cool is the unique atrium design of the hotel itself, with views of the lobby from the rooms. The breakfast area below the lobby has a little pool with a grand piano in the center. Strange, but cool. There's also a very nice Starbucks in the lobby area.
Lastly, the hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the Mall. Very convenient.

Get a room with an inside view to the main lobby, my daughter thought it was particularly cool for people watching. Very pricey for parking, next time I’ll opted out of the rental because everything is walking distance or a short taxi ride.

I usually stay at the Mayflower when visiting DC, and was reluctant about staying here, but, the hotel exceeded my expectations. The property is gorgeous. Our room was beautiful, and the beds very comfortable. The only negative is that the room was somewhat dusty, and there were even large "dust-bunnies" visible in the vent above the shower. But besides that, the room was clean, nicely decorated, and very quiet. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Check-in was fast. The staff is great, especially "Elizabeth" at the front desk. Great breakfast buffet. Will stay again.

This was a really nice property - in a great location near transport, convention center, and shopping. Not right in the most tourist-central area but easy to get around from there. Nice atrium layout to the hotel. Ask for a room on a high floor over the street - quieter than overlooking the atrium. Very nice facilities on the concierge level. NIce size of room, clean, very comfortable, very nice bathroom. Great lunch restaurant in the lobby and a convenient Starbucks there too. Overall very impressed and helpful, friendly staff at reception and in the business center.
