“Excellent experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

Four Seasons hotel chain is really up there and provides significantly much better experience than other hotel chains.
- Great location as it is near Georgetown area and city center
- Great service.... (1) Front desk staff are actually smiling to you and did not talk to each other when they served you :) (2) Other staff are also friendly and are full with smiles. Something pretty rare for hotels in US, I learned :)
- Great restaurant (Seasons).. the breakfast menu was awesome
- Great amenities
- Great property: room, fitness center, etc. Very well maintained

The hotel itself - the lobby, the common areas, the pool, the restaurants - are all very beautiful and stylish. This does feels like a business hotel, plenty of important looking suits flying around with Blackberries flashing all over the place. The valets were fun and smiled a lot, which made us feel very welcomed. Receptionist was effective and nice as well. Everything was going perfectly until we got to our room. We had booked a Grand Premier Room, expecting to be treated to the epitome of comfort for our last two days in the US.
Well, we were disappointed. Sure it was really spacious, but it wasn't far from being empty. The bathroom was single vanity which felt strange. The toilet was leaky (by the end of our stay the floor was flooded). The bedroom had two Double beds (not queen!) which were too small for two people. Isolation was bad, we could here people talking in the neighboring room all afternoon, really disappointing !
Expected better from a Four Seasons. Breakfast was good, the waitress was wonderful. Wifi is expensive and failed to work on the first day.
Left feeling robbed, at nearly 1,000$ a night, we won't be checking in here again. Or at least not in this room category (Even though it is supposed to be one of the best rooms!)

Dear Mr. EPGB,

Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your most recent trip to the United States and for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am happy to know that you appreciated the hotel’s décor, our breakfast offerings and that our staff was friendly. However, I am disappointed to hear that the Grand Premier room did not meet your expectations and that you were not comfortable with our double beds or the bathroom.

This is not the type of experience we would like our guests to leave with and I wish we could have spoken to you during your stay and found a room better suited for your needs.

Should you wish to discuss your concerns in more detail, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the number listed below. As mentioned earlier, we take your feedback seriously and we do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to hotel on your next visit to the US.

Respectfully,

Yvette Thomas-Henry

I just returned from the Four Seasons Hotel in D.C. where me and my wife hosted a wedding shower. This hotel is perfection to have a banquet or special occasion event. The staff devotes themselves to making sure every aspect of every detail is taken care of. We worked closely with Sara Rosen in planning the event and we cannot find words that would adequately describe how wonderful she is to work with. She is creative, caring and professional. She is reliable and always calls back when leaving her a message and makes sure that the event goes smoothly. The supporting staff at this hotel was amazing!!! From the time we drove up, the front of the hotel staff unloaded our car and were so kind and considerate to make sure all of our supplies for the party were handled in the most delicate of manner. Sammy, who is in charge of the banquet area is a five star professional. He brought us coffee and made us feel relaxed and comfortable that he had everything under control and the event would go smoothly. We requested Luciano to be in charge of the event and he ran the event in a beautifully coordinated manner, was kind to all of the guests and if a guest got up for any reason, he made sure he helped them to be re-seated and organize the plate area in front of them. He is a worldy individual that lends a wonderful flare to the event. Ada Davila who is a manager at the Seasons Restaurant came down from the restaurant to provide additional assistance to make sure all of my guests were happy. Words cannot describe how wonderful Chef Doug Anderson is. We told him what our ideas were and he translated what we wanted into culinary delights pictured below. Everyones eyes popped out with each course served and what is unique about this hotel is that the food is plated immediately before being served so that it comes to each guest as fresh as possible. I have had the privilege of visiting fine hotels all over the world but never have I seen such dedication among service staff nor excellence in food quality and preparation as this hotel. We cannot wait to hold another party or banquet there!!!!!

We recently took a trip to the hotel with our 3 children. The hotel is beautiful with gorgeous modern furnishings and in the heart of Georgetown. The staff was what really made the trip! They were kind, welcoming and helpful. My kids felt like they were at home and we were only there for 2 nights! The stuffed animals, decorate your own cookie plate, and baby essentials in the room all helped to make it a great experience for our kids as well as for us. We will definitely be back!

We are only in Washington for a few nights during Easter 2012. booked Bourbon Steak way in advance.. Loved the chips and truffle oil bread, had porterhouse plus baked potato and shared baked cauliflower and spinach. Spinach a bit ordinary, but apart from that dinner was gorgeous, service immaculate. dinner to much for us to eat so we had to go and had it for dinner the next night...Not pretentious, just immaculate service, would go back in a flash! Highly recommend. No room for dessert.. Would have loved some the choice looked amazing

Beautiful hotel with great service and rooms. The rooms are very spacious and luxurious - loved the bathrooms and huge walk-in closet! Turn-down service at night was an added bonus. Rooms are very clean and not at all worn. All of the service that I encountered was extremely helpful, patient and friendly. Dinner at Bourbon was amazing, especially the free french fries and truffle oil bread. I'll definitely be back for dinner! We were here for a conference we were hosting and everyone seemed very pleased with the accommodations. Loved the L'Occitane soaps and awesome Nespresso coffee machine in the lobby during the day.

I have stayed several times in this hotel and it never lets me down. The rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated, with big comfortable beds, beautiful bedding, sitting area and desk. The breakfast room is particularly lovely, with a vast menu selection of delicious foods and beverages. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is located in wonderful Georgetown, with shops and restaurants all in walking distance from the hotel. The hotel also offers fitness areas and a SPA, All in all, you can always count on the Four Seasons, and I always look forward to my next visit.
