“Great Customer Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

My stay here at the Embassy Suites was overall good. My check in with Alicia was smooth and she fixed minor glitch in my reservation and I was on my way. Housekeeping were friendly and wanted to make sure I had everything everyday. The atrium was beautiful. If i had to say something bad about my stay would be the hot breakfast food wasn't that great but they offered alot of other choices such as fruit and juice and waffles. and the room was a lil outdated (furniture appliances) but room was clean. I would stay at this property again

I stayed for four days in January during unseasonably warm weather and found the accomodations adequate. As some have noted the room furnishings are very worn, but functional. They are in need of updating. However, comments about the breakfast being over run with guests was not my experience. I was able to have a nice breakfast and get out the door quickly and easily. It is a long walk to the nearest Metro station, so if your travels include the Metro for your ground transportation - look elsewhere. Alternatively, if you have your own car or plan on using taxi's, this is an excellent choice. The staff were friendly, the hotel was quiet and very restful. Limited restaurants near by and the on-site restaurant is italian, which was fine but I quickly tired for their offerings.

Room Tip: As the name suggests this is an all suite hotel. Nevertheless, the furnishings are worn and the sof...

We spent our Christmas recently at ES in Washington DC and stayed for a week there. It was a warm and cosy place, especially in the cold and had good ambiance and fairly good rooms. It is located well within accessible distance from many attractions and points of interest and the city it is within reasonable limits which made our travel within Washington fairly easy.

The service, especially housekeeping was not very satisfactory and was much below the standards I have experienced in properties of the calibre of Hilton.

Also, I was told by some of our fries and family that their breakfast was good but it was very mundane and fairly ordinary with need to wait for some milk on some days. Some guests had to miss the breakfast the day after Christmas since they closed it earlier than the previous days. The breakfast timing was made available in the rooms but it would have been very helpful to have a sign put up at the breakfast area the day before the change became effective.

The only sunny side of the breakfast was an every happy service at the egg station.

Choose this hotel because you want a suite, because you want points with Hilton Honors, and because of the location.

The rooms are clean, but management could make them appear cleaner by touching-up the door jambs with a little paint. There is a small refrigerator, microwave oven, and small coffee maker in the room.

The hotel has an open atrium from the lobby to the 9th floor. It's a very out-dated design, and the space is drafty and cold in the winter. Most people don't spend too much time in the lobby, so that's not a problem.

The location is excellent. You are located almost equidistant from the Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle metro stations. This is the hotel's real advantage.

Breakfast is awful, and the lines are long. There are a few supermarkets and small markets nearby so try getting your own breakfast in the morning so you aren't so disappointed.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing 22nd or 23rd Street.

A very nice location. The hotel is wonderful. The lobby with the fountains and trees attracts your attention and creates very nice mood as soon as you enter the hotel. Nice rooms. Coffee machine and tees in the room. Wonderful breakfasts with a good choice of everything you can wish. Happy hour is a pleasant compliment. Good service. Many families with kids the only minus- you will not want to go to the swimming pool as it is a favorite place of the kids. In general nice place. You will want to come back.

We stayed at this ES after booking through Hotels.com. We could not have been more pleased. The staff was great, the rooms nice, location good, breakfast great, pool was awesome. Ask for Bell Hop, Kevin was awesome! Highly recommened!! Only drawback was it is a good walk to the nearest Metro station (Foggy Bottom).
