Amtrak recommended this gem of a hotel, two blocks away from Union Station and central to every available transportation. You can see the Capitol building from the street! The service is cordial and professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Room was welcoming, lovely mod/European decor, incredibly comfy bed! Our room 307 looked out to the street and the beautiful Post Office building! A door from the lobby leads to the restaurant next door- The Dubliner- where you can get great fish and chips and other scrumptious meals! Down the block is the Bakery where you can have a great breakfast also. We were greatly pleased with this hotel and its proximity to everything! Thanks to Rosina and Gabriela!

We picked this hotel for 3 reasons: location, style, and cost. The location was perfect for our trip. Our family of 3 traveled with friends, a family of 4. We were close to Union Station, the Capitol, and the Mall. We easily walked to Union Station for dining and the Metro and the Mall for the museums. The style is European Boutique, which is a favorite for us. The cost was terrific for DC. We were able to book a BOGO for 2 nights through Bookit.com. While parking isn't free at the hotel, it is free in the lot across the street on the weekends. The hotel staff was very accommodating, upgrading our room on arrival so that we could have an immediate check in. The hotel is clean and the amenities were adequate. Breakfast is served at the restaurant downstairs, but we found a great, inexpensive breakfast on the same block. We will certainly stay here again.

This charming historic hotel is ideally located only about 2 blocks from the train and only a few blocks from the Capitol and the Mall. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean; however, the walls were a bit thin - we could hear our neighbors on both sides.
It was nice to have the Dublin House pub as part of the hotel. Food is only ok, but the fun atmosphere with live music make this a good choice. (We were there during Cherry Blossoms - so it was very busy.)
We would stay again - much nicer than a chain hotel.

We recently stayed here because the reviews on trip advisor were so positive. It was a great experience for our family with 2 teenagers. We came to Washington to see the sights and the location was perfect. The city was busy due to the cherry blossom parade which made getting around tricky and so when we came back to the hotel pretty tired it was fantastic to be able to eat at the Dubliner an excellent restaurant with really friendly staff. We ate there all 3 nights. Our room was quiet - we did ask to be moved because we were facing a wall this didn't happen but we were out all day and were pleased that it was was quiet even if the view was not good. Beds super comfortable I would definitely recommend this hotel and would most certainly stay again.

During my stay the staff was wonderful, warm greeting and met my needs. There was a guest in the room next door that seemed to have fallen asleep to a very loud TV. The staff rang the room and silence was immediate. The bed was very cozy and I slept great! The Dubliner was wonderful, friendly staff, good live music and great food. As someone traveling alone for business it was great that the staff chatted with me a bit while I was there.
