The hotel was clean and the rooms are above average size. The neighborhood is a bit scary with nearby buildings boarded up and questionable characters wandering the streets.

The hotel staff was friendly, but either overworked or unorganized. A call to the front desk with a question about the phone was blown off with the explanation that they were too busy to address the question. Around 8PM as I was preparing my clothes for the following day, I discovered the iron in my room had a significant leak. I called the desk and was informed that they could not bring me a replacement that night, but they would leave a message for housekeeping to replace it the following morning. That did not help me with getting my clothes ready, and when I returned to my room the following afternoon, the leaking iron was still in my room.

The hotel does not have a modern heating and cooling system. You are at the mercy of the hotel staff to decide if you have heat or air conditioning.

The hotel is fine, not top of the line but nice enough. They don't have a restaurant - they have a good old fashioned diner instead. The food in the diner was great, inexpensive and wholesome.

Factor in to your stay the cost of taxi rides everwhere. I walked to the Metro each morning which is only 3 or 4 block away but you are walking through a fairly nasty part of town.

I would not stay there again becuase it was not convinient for me to keep taking taxis everywhere but it was fine.

This hotel was alright...I wasn't afraid of the area in the least during the daytime, I am a 22 year old girl travelling alone, .I didn't go outside though at night, however, I dont go outside of the hotel room at night no matter where I'm staying..

bathroom was a little tiny..bed was uncomfortable, and the window didn't lock properly...i locked it..and i could still lift it at least 6 inches....channels weren't that good either..and the diner was expensive for bland food....

however, I was so happy with how close it was to a metro station and to the capitol..while i never walked to the capitol from the hotel..the subway was a five minute walk from the hotel...the staff were nice and friendly..and it was like 15-17 buck cab ride from Regan to the hotel.

you have to put up with sirens and cars honking all night long cause of the freeway..I probably wont go back simply cause of the cost..but It wasn't a horrible hotel..the rooms were clean, the area wasn't bad..except for the scary KFC...which was all bullet proof glass and chambers to pass your food through....

I would recommend this hotel to my friends...

The hotel is OK. Very fancy lobby, HUGE room. On the other hand, there's no refrigirator in the room, breakfast not included, and nowhere to eat closely. Plus not a nice neighborhood to walk around. overall, a place to leave your luggage in, and sleep in. BTW the king size bed was really good..

  • Liked — room comfort
  • Disliked — no fridge or breakfast
  • Tips/Secrets: — but your own food in advance, and don't rely on cold food (milk etc.)
