“Great value in great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Let me start with the negatives:
- Breakfast was adequate, but nothing more. Not a big problem since there are some *outstanding* places within a few blocks that offer to-die-for brunches and breakfasts.
- Having a room facing the street resulted in some noise issues on a Friday night.
- Bed was a little "vintage" and not the most comfortable.

On the positive side:
- Location is fantastic. Easy access to many restaurants within a few blocks, and some great walking destinations within a 1-mile range.
- Metro access is good, not great. It's right between two stations, each takes ~12-14 minutes of walking to reach.
- Cleanliness was immaculate, and the room was bright, cheerful, and quite spacious.
- Shared bathroom was clean and not a problem.
- Very nice plush towels.
- Very helpful, friendly service by the staff with dining recommendations and storage of luggage on our last day after checking out.

Overall it was a positive stay and I would gladly stay there again. The cost was reasonable and made the few less-than-ideal aspects worth putting up with.

Stayed with my kids. Couldn't have had a better fit for us. Our large suite gave us each some space. The showers were clean and had great water pressure. The beds were just fine. The towels were the best we had at any hotel on our 3,000 mile trip, and we stayed at 3 star properties! The proximity to the Metro was fabulous! There are lots of restaurants, and anything you might need (bank, pharmacy, etc...) very near. We were out after dark (8ish) and felt safe. Having breakfast right on site made getting started in the morning simple, not to mention it saved us from eating that meal out. In fact, we were able to eat some microwave meals at the Inn too. A microwave and fridge are available in the breakfast annex. There is a computer with printer in a common area, if you need to print off directions, etc.... I would DEFINITELY reserve a garage, if traveling by car. Parking is horrendous in that area. Driving is tricky too. Watch your speed, and mind the MANY pedestrians and stoplights! The staff is fabulous and they are working to improve the Inn continuously!

Room Tip: Our basement suite was large, quiet and dark, for a good night's sleep. It also had a room with...

Went to DC with my son for Georgetown and American university tours/informational meetings. We were pleasantly surprised with how friendly the Inn staff was, how clean the room and bathroom were and how tasty the breakfast and snacks were. Best of all was the wonderful location! Went to dinner on 18nth St. and had fun choosing from so many nationalities' cuisines. We used the Inn's parking and were happy to be able to park so close by. We had a hassle-free time and would definitely stay here again.

Pretty nice place, would stay again if the parking improves and they offered fruit with the continental breakfast. We drove around forever looking for parking and even once we found a spot that should have been safe to park at we received a $50 ticket. Kinda put a damper on the night. I wish that the parking didn't affect my outlook on staying there again, but parking when we take a quick getaway is very important to us.

So my boyfriend and I got a livingsocial for this Inn because it was just such a good deal. We were expected to be hassled about this once we checked in but it never even came up. The lady who checked us in was super nice and had the sweetest puppy with her. She even upgraded us to a bigger room with our own bathroom at no cost! Our room was HUGE as was the bathroom. We had 3 big windows that looked out to the courtyard. This place is on a sweet little street in Adams Morgan. Very close walking distance to a metro stop and the zoo. They gave us a paper (which was such a big help) that had directions to the metro, zoo, bus stop, and all the employees recommendations on food. So happy we stayed here and when we come back to DC Im sure this is where we will stay

Room Tip: Some rooms have to share a bathroom so If you are not ok with that make sure to get a room that has...

We stayed at Adams Inn for the weekend and enjoyed our visit. We arrived after the office had closed (although it was before 8:30...) so our keys and information were on the office door. We opted to utilize the inn's parking during our visit, which worked out okay. The garage is tight for two vehicles -- if you have the option to travel in a compact car, I certainly recommend doing so!

We had minimal interaction with the inn staff but were content with our room and the breakfast. It is a continental breakfast but does have a nice dining area so you can get to know your fellow travelers. The room was simple but served our needs.

The location is the big seller. You are a 10-minute walk to the Woodley Park/Zoo Metro or to the National Zoo itself! This is very convenient and made getting around the city easy.

Overall a decent place to stay when visiting the nation's capitol!

I stayed at the Inn with a large group in town for a family event. We were in the second building next to the main building and our group filled the entire place, so it was basically like being in someone's home. That part was very convenient and nice. It's also a very quintessential DC-type property, which is fun. You're in a great neighborhood too. The lobby and common areas are charming, if a bit shabby. Our room was clean, but the bed was a bit too firm for comfort. The bathroom was tiny and the stall shower was barely big enough to turn around in. Also, the heat was blasting in our room and I could not find a way to dial down the old-fashioned radiator, so I was roasting most of the night. The couple of times I needed to call the front desk for parking information etc. the phone was never answered and it took a day or two to get my message returned, if it was at all. This place has a lot of things going for it, but for the price, I'd expect a bit more.
