Our tour was the Saturday morning Embassy Row tour. Beware, because this tour is about socialites and not embassies. We stood for 20 minutes in the same spot in front of a vacant house being renovated while the tour guide droned on and on about another house around the corner, read from a guide book, and showed poor quality b&w photos. A tourist in the group, who was also a tour guide, provided more helpful info than our tour guide. We passed by several embassies, but our tour guide didn't even point them out. Even though she was concentrating on these socialite houses, she could have pointed out some of the other sights along the way. But she seemed ignorant of everything except the spiel that she had learned (with the aide of a guide book). The tour hiked up and down the same street while she searched for houses and thumbed through her guide book. We had planned to take this company's evening ghost tour, but after this disastrous Embassy Row tour, we took the Washington DC Ghost Tour instead and it was great!
