We want to stay someplace nice while visiting DC August 2014 but didn't want to break the bank. This hotel ended up being perfect. The room was very comfortable for the 3 of us. The staff could not be more accommodating. It was a distance to the heart of DC but having the metro station within 2 blocks made it very convenient to get to. The surrounding neighborhood seemed less than desirable but by the end of our first day we felt pretty safe. The ATF building is between the hotel & the station. Getting around by metro was extremely easy once we got our bearings. Our car was tucked away (for $25/day) in their parking lot. Next time we'll take Amtrak down. The only gripe we actually had was their breakfast. Though it was free it could have been a little better. Hot dishes were cold & sometimes hard. The mini danishes bagels & croissants would have been better if they came from BJ's or Costco. We ended up having breakfast one morning at the Au Bon Pain by the metro. All in all it was a nice experience. We would definitely stay here again.
