Just arrived back from a long haul trip to DC and had found AKA on the web. I wanted not to stay in a hotel and this amazing wee gem of a place did not disappoint. On arrival Lisa upgraded me to a larger apartment with a great view of the street on the 9th floor. I had tweeted before hand that I was coming and the AKA had responded which quite tickled me. Spotless and spacious way way better than any of the DC hotels I have stayed in. Really nice friendly staff and the location was perfect. I had three meetings with Government colleagues and all remarked on the excellent location and facilities. What a find I will most certainly be back and would highly recommend a visit. I was working in the lounge in my room the sun was shining through the blinds and I could just hear a very very good trumpet player doing a simple stunning rendition of 'the star spangled banner' I looked out my window to see if I could see who it was and the picture I have posted was what I saw. The USA flag billowing in the breeze. Pure magic! Thank-you to all the staff from front desk to house keeping my stay for business was made a pleasure. Lindsay
