“Fun place for breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

A simple diner in downtown, food comes fast, it is fairly inexpensive and it was very good. There was a 20 minute wait outside and iris all stool seating, but if you want good food quick, I would recommend

“Fun diner atmosphere and great location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

Little hole in the wall across from Fords theatre. I got some eggs and home fries which were average, but my fellow traveler had an amazing waffle with a generous heaping of fresh blueberries...the small, low bush kind. If you order waffles here, you will definitely not be disappointed. It's worth a stop for waffles and a convenient location f you're starting your day at Fords Theatre.

“Fords theatre find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

This quaint little shop right in front of the Ford's Theatre houses the best waffles outsde of my grandmothers kitchen I've ever tasted! The service is excellent and the chicken is fresh and fried to perfection. You can see the love and dedication this family run business has put into their product and their customers. The locals are all here and that was a sure sign for us to take a chance and we were not disappointed! Parking is a challenge if your just stoping in for a quick bite to eat but try and find a meter and walk over to this little gem.

“Breakfast of the Crappy kind”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

We stopped in for Waffles since our hotel did not have them available as a breakfast item for my kids. Read some decent reviews and were off to see Lincolns waffle shop. It was OLD, dirty looking and extremely crowded and we waited for about 30min. to sit. I ordered eggs (not good) and the kids had the waffles (they didn't mind) though they looked over done to me. I wouldn't recommend this place as it really is a small shop and if your thinking along the lines of an ihop or luncheonette type of place.... THIS ISN'T IT

“Not worth the wait”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

It's in a nice convenient location right across from the Ford's theater and the house where Lincoln died. Smithsonian museums are within walking distance too and there are a lot of stores nearby.
We found this restaurant on Yelp and it had good reviews so we gladly waited 20+ minutes out in the cold. The place is very crowded and they seat people very closely together which I didn't mind much. But the food was just ehhh. It was definitely not worth the wait and having to endure all the people cramped together at the sticky counter. Waffle was just a regular waffle, grits were very bland, and eggs tasted like eggs.
But at least it was cheap. I guess it's a nice place to get breakfast without having to break the bank when sightseeing, but definitely not the place to go to for great food.
