My first visit - went with a friend for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. It's a small place in a house re-purposed to be a restaurant. We were greeted quickly and seated. House menu isn't expansive, but has plenty from which to choose. Everything is made to order. The fried chicken is good, but the mac 'n' cheese is fabulous! Service was a little slow, but I think that's because they were packed - our waitress was apologetic. If you're in the district visiting President Lincoln's cottage near the Soldiers' Home Cemetery, stop in and grab a bite!
