“Worst mussels I've bad in the DC area”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

Came here on Saturday night with 3 other people because we had heard good things. Three of us got mussels, and one got the suckling pig. The pig was overlooked and flavorless. The mussels were even worse- totally bland and unseasoned. Mine allegedly had truffles and cream, but all I could taste was leeks. Super disappointing, especially for the price and after the good things I had heard.

“Delicious stuffed crab meat waffle!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Must try when you are in DC! The stuffed crab meat waffle is crispy and tasty, great starter! Mussel pots only have few choices but all the combination sounds wonderful. We tried the Belgium sausage truffle mussel pot, boy oh boy, well seasoned broth with a spicy kick from the sausage; the mussel is fresh and cooked perfect.

“ Authentic belgian food but with mandatory gratuity. ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

I really enjoyed my 'steak frites' and the croquettes. Prices for this all are a bit on the high end for what you get. Also the 'mandatory' gratuity (we where 2) is something I don't like at all and it's certainly not Belgian.

“Great food/beer and atmosphere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

The beer selection alone is reason to go. It is a bit expensive, but comparable to other places in D.C. I really enjoyed it. I would go back.

“Expensive, Small Portions but Unique”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

The menu had a very unique selection - there aren't that many Belgium restaurants around. They had the typical Belgian specialties - beer, mussells and waffles. Everything was very expensive and the portions were small. I had the waffle stuffed with crab meat - it was ok, tastes more like a dinner entree, sauce was heavy. This place was ok. There are much better Belgium restaurants in NY.
