“A Fitting Tribute to the Greatest Generation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012 via mobile

This is truly a perfect monument to the men and women who fought in World War II. Although their generation is dwindling, their children and grandchildren should all make it a point to visit this wonderful monument. The water surrounded by columns representing all of the states, with the fountains in the water is just wonderful. It took a long time coming but it was worh the wait.

The Freedom Wall's 4,000 gold stars is my favorite part of this memorial.

“Feel the emotions.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2012

This monument is beautiful in an outdoor space with water features. To see and hear the vets tell their stories causes you to have a very emotional experience at this monument.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

I had the privileged to see this with my grandfather, a proud WWII Vet. Consider this a must see if you visit the National Mall.
