“Welcoming oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

I visited the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden enroute to the museum of Natural History. It was in close proximity and seemed such a relaxing welcoming reprieve that we couldn't help but wander inside. The sculptures are standouts in the garden and yet seem to fit so nicely in place. It never hurts to take a little while to allow your eyes to enjoy beauty and your mind to take a quiet vacation away from ordinary. This is what the Art Sculpture Garden is. A reprieve. Almost another world within the world of the National Mall area.

“Lovely siting of sculptures in classic tea garden environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

Great opportunity to see some impressive works in a casual and informal environment. Lovely tea house.

We particularly enjoyed the games perspective plays with Roy Lichtenstein House I - though this is more watching other peoples' reactions to the effect !

“Stop & Refresh Yourself”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

Overload on museums? Stop and visit the NGA Sculpture Garden and refresh yourself walking around, listening to the water in the fountain & the birds while seeing some nice art and beautiful landscape. BONUS: On Fridays they have Free Concerts from 5-8 pm and great good and drinks! (Attendance during the concerts are in the thousands, but it is very nice. You can bring your own food/drink too!)

“Peace, quiet, art, music, and fun...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

This is an oasis in the middle of the busy Nation's Capital... A lush, green, floral, mostly quiet, sculptural art-filled park with a beautiful fountain....a very nice café, tables, drinks, food, and, in the winter, Ice skating... On Fridays in the warm weather, they have free jazz concerts that are very popular...and fun... For a good time go...!!

“Beautiful way to spend time in DC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Couple the sculpture garden with a few museum trips and a stop at the national gallery and you've got a great day for a date or even a family trip! The Cafe in the sculpture garden, while slightly overpriced, is conveniently located and has good food.
